“Had dinner here with a group of friends the other night and was pleasantly surprised the atmosphere isn't much to speak of however that is well offset by both the service the staff and the cuisine. I had the blue crab cobbler as an appetizer along with toast points it was quite tasty. The beef short rib Ragu is also outstanding. Other dishes that rank right up there are the paella, the frenched chicken, the filet and the rigatoni. Seems you can't go wrong here. The wait staff is friendly attentive courteous and always Johnny-on-the-spot. Try it I think you'll like it.UPDATED: 7/22/22. They now have an extensive steak menu that rivals any fine steakhouse although you best prepare yourself for the increased prices.UPDATED 1/23/24. Ordered the pork chop and while I asked for medium rare it leaned A LOT more towards rare had a significant amount sinew, grizzle and fat and was quite difficult to cut. Not my best meal here. They also seemed to be a bit understaffed as one waiter was handling all the tables. “This little gem is now our favorite restaurant in all of St. Augustine!! Simply the best food, service, and atmosphere! My mom and I went here several times during our 10 day stay because we just could not get enough. The owner, Mr. G, treated us like VIP and there is this beautiful sense of mutual respect and camaraderie between him and his staff. They all treated us like family. We even met the chef! The Chilean Sea Bass was our favorite dish, it is a must try!! The bartenders are absolute pros and made top notch drinks. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to come back. We miss it already. Thank you, Mr. G, for your wonderful hospitality and great company!! You made our stay at St. Augustine so much more memorable ❤️“

“I was looking for a non-mainstream restaurant here in St. Aug because I am bored of the typical places. Pulled into the parking lot with my friend and thought “let me check the reviews first”, and was set on going in after seeing how stupid the bad reviews were. Ended up having a blast, fantastic food, fantastic staff, half the price I’d normally spend on a dinner around town. Will return often with groups of friends and family, it’s worth it, classy establishment.“
“The patio atmosphere at Cap's is amongst the best, for casual dining, anywhere. Great views of the water and comfortable seating. The multiple bars are positioned well if you want to watch a game while you're there, but they don't interfere with those who who don't. I will make a point of going back every time I'm in the area.“
