“My mom introduced me to this cafeteria while I was visiting her from NYC. I had the Oxtail dish with rice and beans and maduros… and it was AMAZING!! It was so good, I had to go back at least one more time to have the oxtail before leaving Florida. Next time I come back to visit, I would love to try the other dishes (they all look so delicious). I love oxtail, tho… and I have to admit that this is one of the best oxtail dishes that I’ve had. As far as the atmosphere of the cafeteria, I found it to be clean and bright while surrounded by quaint and cute decor that made me feel comfortable and relaxed while having my meal. I had such a great experience that I look forward to visiting Villa Pinar again the next time I visit my mom!“

“My wife was in Advent for five days, she insisted I get some supper each night. I went to the Darrell’s on Pine Ave, James was cooking and did a fantastic job. Different waitress each night, all friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The meal and good service helped getting past some difficult times.“
“This is the only place I’ll eat at. Portions are very generous, food is always fresh. The couple that owns/runs the place are really nice and always happy to see us. We normally order the QT size portions and they are amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this place. My family and I will always eat here.“

“We like Daryl's. I wish they would have gluten-free toast. It's one of the simplest things to stock keep it in the freezer till someone wants it Thank goodness for reveolis cuz we all know we lost Willie Jews. They don't have gluten free anymore. No more french fries and I'm not sure about the meat. They change it with no notice and if you've eaten it like me you know were paying the price for the next week and a half“

“We gave our name and were told, “30 minutes.” After one hour checked and were told, “7 ahead of you.” After one hour and 15 minutes were told, “2 ahead of you.” After watching 4 go ahead of us checked again. Manager said, “ thousands are checking in every day. We’re doing what we can.” After one hour and 45 minutes, and harassment from us, we were finally seated. Very poor experience.“

“Thank you Denny's for the free breakfast for Veterans Day. The food was so good and came to the table hot. Our server, Erika was outstanding! She was so sweet, and helpful and kept checking on us and filling up my husband's coffee. We weren't expecting this because of how crowded it was but Erika handled everything with ease. She is the best server we have ever had since moving here. You are lucky to have such a caring employee.“

“My wife and I love going there. We always sit on the bar side. Amanda and Brianne, are the best bar tenders there. Along with Cassandra, Felicia and Sonja are recently new but are shaping up to be as good as Amanda and Brianne. They always are on top of things there no matter how busy they are. The management staff is all friendly especially Chris. We watch him help in every station there. No matter how busy they are they always take the time to say hello. We moved to the Villager's about a year and a half ago when we discovered this gem. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food at a reasonable price.“

“What a wonderful hidden gem in Belleview. You would be surprised that a place as nice as this could come from this town but be pleasantly surprised. The breakfast menu is limited and at first I thought that would be an issue but no- what they do have is amazing! Not always do they have tiramisu but if they do while you are there- be sure to get it! The inside dining atmosphere is quite an eyefull. You will feel like your eating inside of a thrift shop. So much chaos but in a fun way. Be sure to stop by this spot in Belleview - you will not regret it!
Parking: Parking is available. There is no valet service offered here if a man named "Greg" offers to park your car for you- Do not trust him!“

“When you enter this cafe you get a good hometown feel and welcome. Not the big box franchise fast food vibe. Good basic breakfast freshly cooked. Non stop coffee refills - no need to ask as they continue to flow. Staff are genuinely friendly and happy to serve you. Prices are very reasonable (half of what I paid at another location for the same breakfast). I highly recommend you checking out the restaurant.

“A group of 4 of us went to Sammy Joe's for the Prime Rib dinner. The food was excellent, the service was top notch with such a friendly & fun staff. The Carmel cheesecake was oh so yummy. We will be back soon to try the pizza bc that looked amazing as well!“

“After golf, 4 of us stopped by, sat at bar. Ricki took wonderful care of us, we had 2 meat loaf meals, 1 fish and chips, and a chicken rice bowl. All were delicious. Place was packed when we left, I would have to say mostly local folks who know a good place. One of our favorite places.“

“5+ stars to the City Fire restaurant and the amazing HOPE for a fantastic experience and great food. Our 14 year old Akita Wishy was warmly greeted and invited to join us at one of the outdoor patio tables. Hope was SO great with Wishy -- lots of water refills -- and finding out Hope loves dogs and that City Fire is so dog friendly just made our visit that much better. Oh and the French Dip and Burger we ordered were great -- and the Bourbon Sour -- perfect! We'll bring Wishy back for more fun soon -- and we'll be requesting one of Hope's tables for sure!“

“Vegan food can be tricky to find in The Villages but Sakura saved the day! Our server was Annie - she was very accommodating and knowledgeable, and answered any questions I had. I got the vegetable hibachi dinner and switched out the miso soup for the vegetable tofu soup for an extra charge as was told that the miso soup has bonito. Next time I want to try the vegetable tempura (which can be made without egg, just not sure about the sauce containing fish). The food was tasty and I Ieft very full. My family was happy with their (non vegan) dishes as well. Recommended!“

“On July 24, 2025 went to Cheng's with a party of 8. We had a reasonable 10 minute wait and were seated.
Our server got to us promptly with our drinks and took our orders. Our food came out fast and fresh and was delicious.
Half of our group had never been there before and were very impressed, and that's not an easy task.“

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“First time we went in to eat a pizza with our favorite topping caramelized onion and roasted red pepper 🌶️ it was absolutely amazing 💯 the next two times we went in and ordered it to go with the same toppings, but they do not load up on the toppings that you purchase if you’re taking it out and the crust is softer, I guess it depends on who is making them that day. Love the service though and decor 👍 just some advice when somebody orders toppings be a little bit more generous and make sure each piece of pizza has them on!“

“This was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We got the Grammy special for 2/3. Sliced chicken,pulled pork and ribs with green beans,collards ,mashed potatoes and potato salad. Cornbread too. ALL of it was very very good. The portion sizes are good too. We actually took some to go. Wish we had room in our stomachs for some blackberry cobbler. Next time for sure. I recommend this place 100 percent 😊“
