“Had a rough day yesterday and we were too overwhelmed to cook. I don’t usually like eating out because I’m a pretty good cook myself. I’m often disappointed with eating out. Evening finding an okay Chinese place is hard, but my go to was closed on Monday. I read Happy China was a popular pick on Door Dash so we tried it. THIS WAS THE BEST TAKE OUT CHINESE I HAVE EVER HAD. We ordered entrees and apps and everything we have was made with love, warm, packaged well, and a nice portion. Not only did Happy China feed us, it helped warm our sad souls. Thank you.“

“We order from New Bamboo consistently because we are never disappointed. I have been to many other Chinese restaurants in this area for many years and this is still my favorite. Usually we do take out and New Bamboo is an excellent choice for that. I especially like the shrimp dishes . They are big and taste fresh.The portions are large and it is prepared traditionally. I highly recommend.“

“the food i got here was seriously beyond awesome, been trying to find decent Chinese food anywhere nearby and wow i was blown away. all of the food i ordered was super fresh and delicious, colorful and fairly priced. everything i ordered tasted amazing. but they said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. i got there 25 minutes later and they called me on the phone asking if i was coming to pick it up. i was standing outside about to walk in when my phone rang. like really wierd honestly. i guess alot of people order and never show up so they don't cook your food until you get there? it wasn't ready despite being 25 minutes after ordering. i waited only 10 minutes and it was super fresh but still, i didn't love being called when i was on my way to pick up my food, but they were very friendly very nice amazing food clean store very clean kitchen over all i was very very impressed and extremely happy. i want to go back already but it's been too soon. lmao i literally could not stop eating the lo mein and beef n broccoli.“

“First time trying this little restaurant on Gunn Highway - very pleasantly surprised. The food is very tasty and we will be returning.

Vegetarian options: I ordered the mixed vegetables and they were very tasty and a good variety. Lots of broccoli, snow peas, onions, mushrooms, carrots not the usual baby corn and celery. I asked for a bit of heat to the dish and they were happy to comply.

Parking: Easy to park, just pulled up in front of the restaurant. Very easy access.“

I compare it to China Town in Chicago. Their cook is the real deal! Everything was so delicious!! We had egg foo young, pork fried rice, eggrolls, crab ragoons, and schezwan pork, and it was all fresh and outstanding. We ate in. They had 4 or so small tables, plastic ware, and our food was in takeout containers, which we needed because the lunch specials were plentiful!! They seemed pretty busy with all takeout. “I am a New York transplant, I’ve lived here in NPR for 14 years now and I can be picky when it comes to Chinese food. This is the only Chinese food place I order from. The food is great and delivery is fast. Customer service is not always the greatest especially when the children take the calls but this is the spot for sure. The chicken friend rice is always really good (I always sub for it instead of pork friend rice). Combination plates are always filled up well with half rice (some places go too heavy on the rice, this place is just right) decent amount of meat too. I’ve never had a bad experience with the meats here, this is important with Chinese food. If getting delivery make sure you get your soda and any extra sauce that you pay for before the driver leaves , they have forgotten a few times but they always come back with it if forgotten. “The 8th chinese place I've tried in the area since I love chinese, and most all of them are barely 'okay'. This is my favorite so far. Ill be back for sure. Its a 25 min drive and we have 6 within 10 min, but I'll drive the extra half hour round trip for quality. Or doordash again. Great job.“

They’re General Tso chicken, Beef lo mein, and their pork fried rice is one of many amazing dishes along with many others. I’m not really a big fan of their fried scallops though. Vegetarian options: They make a lot of dishes where only vegetables are included, and the food still taste absolutely delicious, for example, their vegetable lo mein, vegetable fried rice, and vegetable egg rolls etc. are fire! The food is absolutely delicious even if you’re a vegetarian or not.“
