“I love this place! Every time I walk in I’m greeted promptly and in a friendly manner. If you live in the neighborhood I highly recommend checking them out.

So far all of the dishes that I have ordered have been fresh and not greasy or oily. The flavor is good and the service is quick. They have all of your staple items and despite being busy quite often, always do their best to get your food done on time.“

Crab rangoons and host and sour soup were great! Everything else with sauces lacked flavor and were too thin and watery. At least the vegetables were crunchy.“

“I’ve been getting takeout from here, off and on, for years. Usually, it’s just okay. Quality seemed inconsistent. However, today was different. Everything was so much better. I usually do not get my favorite, shrimp and lobster, because the shrimp tastes old or over cooked. Tonight was different. It was so good. Cooked perfectly and had a wonderful garlic taste. Not sure what they’ve done but I hope they keep doing it.“

Store becomes overwhelmed rather quickly during high volume periods. This results in extended wait times & occasional mistakes in order. The store has always made corrections honorably. Quality has always been consistent.“

“Writing down this review because im a picky eater and I keep forgetting what I like. Honey chicken is sweet in sour chicken (deep fried in a tempura batter) tossed in a sweet sauce. I'm not a fan of the bourbon chicken (got it years ago and never tried it again since); the mongolian chicken is stir fried. Orange, sesame, and general tso chicken uses the same chicken base (dark meat chicken with lots of nooks and crannies for the sauce to hold to); orange sauce is sweet and spicy, sesame is not sweet and doesnt rely on sesame oil (which i like), and general tso is not sweet and mostly a spicy chili sauce (either there was a different dish that was sweet and spicy or this dish got less sweet over time). Lo mein is in the takeout containers while chow mein is in a plastic container and is very wet. Mixed vegetables are served in a dark sauce.“

“This location is mostly geared for take-out. The small building space appeared to be clean and well kept. They have a couple of tables and a few chairs but no one was using them. I see you can pre-order online. We just pulled up and came inside to place our order. It was packaged complete within 10 minutes. The taste and the quality of our dinners was far superior to other Chinese restaurants that I've sampled. After dinner we have plenty of left overs to make another meal. All for a reasonable price. For quick, tasty Chinese food, their version was outstanding.“

That saying is exactly what Dragon Express is....You could easily drive by it over and over again but like most holes in a wall you still see it. I finally went to Dragon Express after myself and family had enough of Happi Work another local Chinese food restaurant where the very often rude and smug CSR register attendant dared us to find another restaurant locally that was better than Happy Work, where they often left out entire food selections and additions with no compensation or even an apology. Thanks to their dare and constant rudeness I found Dragon Express. For starters the Owner is great polite and a attentive listener, whether you are on the phone or in person he has never gotten or order wrong or missed out food items. Prices are very reasonable and currently expected. Food is outstanding..... Being I've been all over the world and country I can say the food here is a product of the craftsmen who prepare it. I don't have to convince myself it's good because it is all you have in the University area. it's great as compared to other places visited. I've been there a number of time and it's I great to finally have everything that comes with your ordered meal present upon pickup. The plus is finally having a real portion of barbecue spareribs and general Tso chicken with some kick. Fried rice that isnt steeped in oil and old..... everything is prepared before you get there or after you place your order and the owner whom works the front says thank you for coming as you leave thinking about your return.......BTW Dragon Express and Happi Wok are 3 blocks apart but miles away when it come to food, flavour and service.... “I come from the New Tung Tung in Tampa after it closed down, and I was expecting similar service from before and I got it! I am very pleased to know that one of my favorite establishments is still serving their best food to this day.“

“We ordered delivery from Hong Kong a few weeks ago after an exhaustive search for *good* Chinese food. We were really pleasantly surprised at the quality, so we ordered again last night.

This place does not disappoint. We got the Chicken Fried Rice and The Four Seasons, and both dishes were excellent quality. The proteins they use are great quality and you can tell they are using fresh vegetables. They're crisp and perfectly cooked.

You get a lot of food for the price you pay as well. Delivery was on time (a few min early, actually).

This is our new go-to spot for Chinese food. Please keep up the quality, great prices and portions, and friendly service!

“I’ve been coming here for a long time and they’re consistently great. The food is always fresh, hot, and actually flavorful, which is more than I can say for a lot of places. My go-to is the chicken skewers with fries and it never disappoints.

All of the favorable reviews were spot-on. Service was great (only 4 tables occupied at the time I was there). My English “Chicken Soup Hot Bowl, little bit spicy” got me exactly what I wanted except a spoon. I chop-stocked my way through it and drank the broth from a bowl like I was at home!

Great meal, rice noodles were super fresh as was the vegetables and the quail egg was a nice touch.

“My husband and I took a road trip to FL. We were staying in Tampa and i wanted to try some Chinese food. Boy am I glad I stopped here. Hands down the best BBQ boneless ribs combo. The pork fried rice was flavorful, and the pork was chopped in thin pieces just how I love eating it and service was quick. I could eat that combo every day. It did not disappointment me.“

I had an excellent experience at China Wok located at 2556 E Bearss Ave in Tampa. I ordered a lunch special and was genuinely impressed—more than plenty of food plus a soda for under $10 is hard to beat these days.

The restaurant itself is very clean, and the live plants throughout the space were such a lovely touch 🪴—they really add to the welcoming atmosphere. My food came out quickly, which I always appreciate, especially during lunchtime.

The fried rice was on point, and the egg roll add-on absolutely hit the spot. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the candy dish for customers—such a small but thoughtful detail that really stood out.

You truly can’t beat the quantity or the quality of the Chinese food being served here. Great value, great food, and a pleasant environment. I’ll definitely be back!
