“We recently ate here with a party of 6. The food is delicious and high quality compared to other grill-your-own-meat places (you pay for the premium) and that alone can carry the restaurant.I have to mention one issue during our visit. We were a larger group and it seemed that larger parties were somewhat deprioritized. While the staff was friendly, it took a bit longer for our orders to be taken, and we noticed that smaller tables around us received their cooking food before us. Either plan accordingly or make sure the staff get you your food items in a timely manner. We had already pretty much eaten all of the sides that accompanied the meat by the time the meat arrived and we were not particularly pleased at how long we ended up at the restaurant and were so hungry we forgot to take pictures of the main courses. While I may pick other places to host larger parties from now on, I would still highly recommend Gyu-Kaku for anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. They are still an oasis in our dining desert. Just be aware that if you're in a larger group, you might experience a bit of a wait.“
“The rolls were really tasty, I'd even say delightfully delicious. My wife and I often enjoy sushi and rolls. I would definitely come back to this place. However, we live in Miami and just stopped by for lunch on the way. There's a huge parking lot. The dining area is clean, with plenty of space. The service is friendly and fast. We really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend it.“
“I've eaten here half a dozen times, at least. The atmosphere is always great. The food is quite good. And the service is usually decent. The teppan experience is similar to other restaurants of this type. Nothing special to write home about, but consistently good food and respectable showmanship. They have a broad selection of standard rolls and more creative sushi flare, as well as a good selection from the regular kitchen menu. They also have several unique drinks with an Asian vibe - the lychee martini is my personal favorite. My only minor complaint is that the kitchen is not terribly consistent with their plate timing. For sushi, I can understand, as it comes from a different set of chefs. But the last couple times we've eaten here, we've received main courses before appetizers and salads. And the bar often gets backed up, as well, resulting in significant wait times for alcoholic drinks. But all in all, I'd still say it's well worth the experience and the price.Dietary restrictions: My mother in law is gluten free, and they had no issue accommodating her requests.Parking: It's located on the edge of a roundabout, so has limited parking immediately adjacent to the building. But there are a lot of spots available within easy walking distance.Kid-friendliness: Happy to accommodate children, and have kid specific menu selections.“
“Norigami is a must-visit for any sushi lover. The quality of the fish is consistently outstanding – every bite is damn near perfect. David's talent and dedication are evident in each creative dish, and the entire staff complements his mastery with friendly and attentive service. From the melt-in-your-mouth nigiri to the innovative special offerings, Norigami is a culinary experience that deserves high praise. Thanks to David and the whole team for making it such a delight!“
