“I started going to Athena’s when my son and family first moved to Maitland over 17 years ago. Since 2018 I went there at least once a week. Having to move back to Connecticut, I miss their chicken so much. My grandchildren know when I come to visit that is the first place I stop to eat. Their chicken is always so delicious and moist. “Tried the chicken bites at Dave’s Hot Chicken and they were seriously addictive. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and packed with flavor. The spice level had a real kick without overpowering the taste. Perfect for sharing, but honestly I didn’t want to. Definitely coming back for more.“

“This is one of my favorite chain chicken places. They’re generous with their seasoning and the sauce is good. In this visit they gave us free food, so a plus for me. I like the spice level and how you can choose it, even if the spiciness is inconsistent. The drink is pretty expensive though.“

“02/27/2026 @ 8:13 pm - This is our first visit to this location. My son and I came here after a high school track meet. The restaurant appears to be fairly new. It was clean, free from trash debris and the restrooms were clean. We ordered the Caniac Combo and 2 Box Combos. The chicken tenders were fresh , juicy and fried just right. The bread size was smaller than usual, but the taste is larger than life. We have never had a bad meal at a Raising Cane restaurant, but this time the french fries were not at all Raising Cane status. Hence, the reason for 3 stars. They were small french fries, the texture was dry and the portion was unusually small compared to other locations. It was late at night. I should have noted it to the manager, but we did finish our meals and no one left hungry. If I am every back in the area I would give them another try. - I did not take photos.“

“I would give 10 stars if I could. Two years ago, this location wasn’t quite “ready” yet, but after the remodel and reopening, it become my favorite fast-food spot.

The food is always fresh and delicious, the staff is friendly and fast, and the restaurant is consistently clean. Another big plus is that they’re open late, so I can stop by whenever I’m craving Bo’s at night.

I’ve been to so many Bojangles in NC, and honestly, the best one I’ve had is this one in FL.“

“Our family of 5 flew in from Alaska to spend Thanksgiving holiday with family and our first stop was Chick-fil-a. Our favorite sandwich is the grilled chicken sandwich but it has to have the honey roasted bbq sauce. When we pulled into the drive-thru we were so sad to find out they were out of HRBBQ. We told Janiah this was our first stop and we’d been looking forward to our visit all day. A few minutes later she can back to our car with a baggie of hrbbq. We were so excited and made a wonderful end to a long day of travel. THANKS JANIAH!!“

The longest part of my experience was ordering; the time from getting a drink to grabbing a table, I already had my sandwich and sides prepped and presented. There’s something comforting about getting chips on a plate rather than being just handed a bag. The sandwich was assembled with care, but I believe the true shining star was the pasta salad. Fast service, helpful staff, clean venue - no notes.“

“Family was visiting from out of town last week, so we placed a large to‑go order at the Pollo Tropical in Sanford. When it came time to pay, our debit card kept getting rejected, even after the staff tried multiple registers and attempted to split the payment.

We were about to remove items to pay in cash when the manager, Pedro, explained there was a software glitch preventing debit card payments over $50. He immediately stepped in and discounted our order by 35%, which allowed us to get everything we needed.

With a little patience and understanding, what could have been a frustrating situation turned into a positive experience. Our whole family was extremely grateful for Pedro’s help and the Sanford team’s effort to make things right.“

“Great location and it's hardly ever busy I feel like it's overlooked since its the newest location in the area. But that doesn't mean it's inferior. I think it is probably the better of the 2 locations in Sanford. Staff is friendly service is quick and accurate and the restaurant is always spotless. I'm in the area frequently for work and I always choose to stop here rather than the other. I am never able to stay and eat but it I did I would definitely sit outside there patio is very nice and always clean with plenty of tables. This is a great Chick Fila location and great far anyone.“
