“Had a fabulous birthday experience here back in March! The service was stellar - friendly yet professional. We had an event to attend after dinner and, despite a short timeframe, service flowed smoothly and didn't feel rushed. Our favorites were the charred cabbage, the complimentary heart kebab, and the duck. I had been eyeing the heart on the coursed menu, but since we decided to go with the a-la-carte option to try more things, I had to let it go. You can imagine my delight when it was brought out as a gift from the kitchen! (Thank you Patrick! I'm sure you had a hand in making that happen.) The desserts were creative and interesting. I would definitely recommend giving both the melon sorbet and white pepper ice cream a try as their flavor combinations were very unique.“

“This was fine dining at its best!! I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 course dinner. I had the 18oz dry aged stripe and it was amazing. I had it with Asparagus, and the creamiest mash potatoes I had ever had in my life. The calamari with hot cherry peppers for the appetizer was delicious and the lemon drop martini was much needed.“

“Tabby was in town and in usual Tabby flow she was exploring the atlasobscura website and came across The Consulate. As such, we decided to go. We had reservations for 06:15 on a Friday. Arriving about 20 minutes early as traffic happened to be light, we were able to be seated early without any issues. Upon entering the restaurant the hallway decor captures your attention as you focus on the selected hues of blue and artwork placement. Upon being seated we were immediately greeted by Cindy. Cindy arrived all smiles coupled with a huge personality and warm welcome. As this was our first time she took a moment to explain to us the menu selections, geographical inspiration, as well as answer the few questions we had about select items. Cindy’s education of the menu and experience with the foods added to the food deciding experience. Major shout out to Cindy. The ambiance of the restaurant is high energy, captivating and explorative. As you look around the restaurant it puts you in the mindset of being inside one of the classic true to theme castles in an Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider movie. LoL! At any moment Laura Croft could walk in and grab one of the items on display and head out for her next mission. LoL! I decided on the String Beans with a side of Mexican Rice and I was more than satisfied with the flavor profile of my meal. The string beans were flavor stacked with the slight sweet from the sauce and the spice from the peppers. The texture was spot on for a true sautéed experience as well as the portion was perfect… The Mexican rice paired well with the string beans as it provided a texture variation as well as it was seasoned well but not overpowering in comparison to the string beans. This was truly a 10/10 experience. The service, the environment, and the food were all superb. Whether for a personal 2 person dinner or after work friend vibe, The Consulate is truly a must try for any occasion.“

“Everything was perfect! The hostess was nice and attentive. The seating and atmosphere was amazing. The waiter was perfect, they worked as a team and we were attended to frequently. “Aesthetically, the restaurant is excellent. However, the service and food leaves much to be desired. After arriving early for a 1pm reservations, we were promptly seated. Then, it went all down hill. We ordered cocktails and food at 1:30pm with the cocktails arriving at 2pm and the food at 2:45pm. Not to mention the bartender called in sick, so only mimosas and simple drinks could be made. It's a beautiful atmosphere...for pictures!“

Very knowledgeable on the menu and just gave great service overall. I just knew she was a trainer. And the Bartender Tyrese did his thing on the drinks.
