A friend of mine has been talking about the chicken from this location for over a month. As such, I had to give it a try. During a day of ripping and running, we stopped in to give it a try. Upon walking up, it was great that the menus were hanging on the wall as I was able to review it while I was in line. Though this is a “Chicken Spot” it doesn’t have the traditional smell of fried chicken lingering in the air. Kudos for the good ventilation. LoL!

Hops Chicken at Ponce City Market was underwhelming. The food was just OK, but the service was noticeably poor and didn’t match the premium pricing. The biggest issue was the cost — $7 for a 12‑oz canned drink is excessive for a fast‑casual spot. Overall, the value isn’t there. You can get equal or better food and service at a standard fast‑food restaurant for far less. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Enjoy this delicious plate even thought I’m not a big fan of coleslaw. The Mac n cheese is delicious, the biscuit soft, and the chicken is tender and juicy!
