“I think the size I order is considered a pint. I got butter pecan with extra, extra, extra pecans! The man who took my order was so kind and had the most pleasant smile. He was so considerate with asking how far did I have to travel and when I told him the distance, he wrapped my container of ice cream up nicely in Saran wrap and advised me to put it in the freezer as soon as I reached home. I should have left a tip, but I usually don’t leave tips for to go service. I will be back there again and if he’s there I will leave a tip, because of all the times I’ve ordered my ice cream, no one has gone above and beyond like he did. Thank you for your thoughtfulness!“

I was overjoyed by the instant memories of childhood and the local ice cream parlor. The nostalgia was free with my order. Ha! Walking up to the cashier to order, the young lady was very nice and greeted me with a smile. As I was the last of the group to order I knew what I wanted. I partook in a small vanilla on a cake cone with rainbow sprinkles (jimmies where I’m from). I placed my order, provided my name, and stood to the side. Once my order was ready, my name was called and my excitement started all over again. The ice cream was perfectly sculpted. It looked as if every sprinkle was perfectly placed and the ice cream to cone ratio was perfecttttttttttttttttttt. I’m one who bites the top of the swirl off first and upon FIRST BITE… I was planning my next visit back. LoL. Fresh Ice Cream Fresh Cone Super Fresh Sprinkles And best of all, the cream to sugar ratio was algebraically perfect. It’s official. I’ll be back in two weeks for my next fix. Dare I say, Big Softie is now in my Top 5 for Ice Cream, and #1 for Soft Serve. Do yourself a favor and get you some. 🥳“

“Crumbl Cookies Salted Caramel Cheesecake: Crumbl’s official description for this cookie is “ A graham cracker cookie topped with cheesecake frosting, caramel, and sea salt.” Cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts and going one step further, the Salted Caramel Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory (CF) is one of my all-time favorites. That said, I’ve been patiently waiting to try this one from my local Crumbl for a while. The cookie is dense, satisfyingly chewy, and cool (it’s served chilled). There’s just a hint of graham cracker flavor to the cookie, but it might also just be overpowered by the real stars of the show: salted caramel & cream cheese frosting. Crumbl acolytes know the power of that phenomenal cream cheese frosting and this time there’s an additional layer of caramel. As expected, the caramel is sweet, sticky, and chewy. If I have one complaint about the cookie it’s this, mine did not really have much sea salt. Crumbl’s stock photo shows a caramel pool teeming with sea salt and if you look closely at mine there are only a few specs of salt. This can be forgiven as the cookie is just so damn good! Like the Salted Caramel Cheesecake from the CF, Crumbl’s Salted Caramel Cheesecake Cookie is one of their best. Doughboy approved 😋
