Chicken from a gas station/convenience store doesn't seem like the best place to get a good meal, but this place fries up chicken better than most of the local chicken restaurants and all of the local chicken chains. Okay, strictly speaking, this is gas station fried chicken. Those who know me know that I don't do reviews of fast food restaurants or even chain restaurants unless there is a compelling reason, which quite frankly in the case of fast food and chains, that's usually a bad thing. Today however I am pleased to report that the Krispy Krunchy Chicken counter in the back of the gas station on the corner of Moody and Highway 96 is worth the stop. Went for lunch and was a little wary due to the ones behind counter not speaking english, but pressed on. Group had chicken tenders and mushroom cheese burger. It was really yummy and affordable if sharing.
