“Love this place. Food is great and people are friendly. I’ve been going here since it opened and don’t plan to stop any time soon.

The biggest opportunity is the sandwich service. I come here weekly and roughly 30-40% of the time, the person making the sandwich either starts putting things on that I didn’t ask for or tells me to go to the cashier and they’ll bring me my sandwich and then they get something wrong (like mustard instead of mayo). Please just ask us what we want on our sandwich and don’t assume.“

Parking: No problem finding a spot.

Kid-friendliness: Kids would enjoy too although we did not have any that day.

Wheelchair accessibility: Noticed the sidewalks were marked and establishment is on street level.“

“This is a delightful place to enjoy a tasty, healthy meal. The decor is artistic and colorful; the service helpful and kind. I have sampled many items and never was disappointed. The variety of dishes/entrees is awesome. I enjoy making my own food but it's nice to have a great option to expand my weekly menu. I highly recommend.“

“Always a pleasure coming to Boxcar between the food, atmosphere, and staff it makes for a pleasant experience.

I had the braised beef short ribs that came with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The meat was super fork pull apart tender, mashed potatoes well seasoned, and collard greens like somebody’s Grandma was making them in the kitchen.

My wife and I also had the collard greens cheese dip and the Kung Pao Brussel sprout for an appetizer. Both appetizers were delicious and more than enough for 2-3 people.

If ever at the West End, going out for a date night, or looking for a place to grab a meal and chill before taking a short walk on the beltline please checkout Boxcar they won’t let you down.“

“I stopped by today, excited to try some authentic Greek pastries. I was not disappointed! The lady serving me was absolutely lovely and gave me some free samples. I ended up trying a variety of things. The portions are huge and will last you several days. The pastries themselves are definitely authentically Greek (I am European and I’ve been there multiple times), and they are light, moist, and flavorful. I give this place my fullest recommendation.“

“I had an exceptional experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy yet modern vibe that makes it perfect. I was thrilled with the variety and creativity of the vegetarian menu. Every dish was packed with flavor, and you could tell that fresh, high-quality ingredients were used in every preparation. Chole Bhature was the standout dish for me and I highly recommend everyone to try out once if you're in Atlanta. Lastly, the service was quite friendly and quick.“

“The best Vegan food I’ve tasted!“

“Mokhaport is a coffee shop featuring Ethiopian and Yemini coffee and teas. They also offer smoothies and food items with a sizable quantity of Halal, Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Soy-Free offerings. The majority of their food is made in-house. Mokhaport has an intimate seating area with Wifi and a generous number of electrical outlets. Mokaport has some of the best customer service for a coffee shop. The owner is friendly and willing to answer questions and provide recommendations regarding the menu offerings. You are actually provided a sample of your coffee/tea item before it is finalized. My go-to drink is the Dirty Adani (Sweet Yemini Chai with a shot of coffee) with brown sugar and oat milk. Pro tip: save your receipt via text, which makes it easier to duplicate your beverage order once you have found the perfect drink. I visit this coffee shop every time I am in the area, as the coffees, teas, and service are impeccable. I am looking forward to trying the smoothies, cheesecake, and some of the savory food products like the beef patty and cheese pastry.“

“My husband and I have eaten many meals at this restaurant, and the food and customer service are always consistent and excellent. Our typical dishes include vegetable samosas, tandoori assorted appetizers, tomato soup, chicken tikka masala, and assorted naan basket. It is the best tikka masala anywhere! “I’m typically not a big fan of donuts, but The Salty has both a beautiful ambiance and the best donut I’ve had, the Brown Butter & Salt! Plus, their coffee is actually fantastic (and I recommend dunking one of the donuts in their coffee for the full experience).

Not to mention, both Krog Street and The Beltline are right outside. It makes for such a beautiful start to the day - breakfast and a walk down an aesthetic, very safe stretch of the Beltline!“

“This place is out of this world fantastic. The pastrami is near perfect. We dined for brunch and tried piled high pastrami, the general breakfast with schmaltz potatoes, deviled eggs, and pastrami and grits. We also had coffee and egg cream. We finished off brunch with a round of desert: cheesecake, coffee cake, and chocolate cake. Everything was so good from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food and I can’t wait to go back here.“

“This dad and son team does a great job getting the job done. The food is always consistent. It seems like their starting to put together another team of cooks. I know pre pandemic, they would have a staff of 3- 4 ppl in the kitchen. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, they had to let the team go. I hope he brings the same crew back.“

Be prepared to find your new favorite addiction. Just saying they were delicious would have been an understatement.“

“Vegetarian options: Majority of the vegetarian options are sides, the appetizers, and desserts. The Vegetable platter consists of a variety of the sides that they offer. While the platter was filling and did taste delicious, I would not recommend if majority of the party is vegetarian or vegan as they do not have a separate vegetarian/vegan menu (that I am aware of or saw). So if you are vegetarian, your only option will be the platter.

Parking: Complimentary, but mandatory Valet parking where you can “pay what you want”. There is no fixed price for the parking. We offered to park our own car, but was told that was not an option in their parking lot.“
