I gave service 4 stars because we told the waitress it was my daughter's birthday and they were supposed to bring her out dessert and sing but she must have forgot so I was a little disappointed. Other than that, service was great🙂“

“I always recommend Pooles Bar B Que, for the food and service. My guests enjoy as well. You cannot find better brisket especially. If you dine in, most likely have to get to go boxes, because portion’s are generous. Last month I came as they closing and the employees let me order to go. Well I left my debit card in the card reader but did not know until my next stop. I was upset because I wasn’t 💯 percent sure where my card was. I called and left a message and the next morning decided to go by because I was on my way out of town. I didn’t receive a call back and no one was coming to the door because they had not opened yet. So after waiting decided to go around the back to see if anyone might be there, and they were just loading or unloading and didn’t hear me knocking. Anyway they had my card and told me I didn’t have any worries because all the staff were honest and glad they could help me, I was embarrassed about being so careless. So there are so many reasons this special restaurant in Ellijay is one of my favorite places to get a really great meal. I’ve feel like if you weren’t happy with something you ordered they will accommodate you. Try it for yourself, take someone with you!! 🤩😋“

“Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We love to come here for family dinners. You always feel welcome and loved. I’ve never had a bad experience with any food or staff. Pizzas are the best, with large amounts of toppings, you get everything in each bite. I high recommend Charlie’s!“

“Made a quick stop and tried a flight of their wines. Staff was friendly. Love the atmosphere. Was a very cold day and sitting by the fire was relaxing.

Tried a sampling of whites wines. I’m not a big wine person so take this with a grain of salt… they tasted great but were all on the sweet side.

“We recently took our friends to spend an afternoon at Engelheim Vineyards. Everything was wonderful - nice wines, yummy British pies, charcuterie, beautiful scenery, and relaxing live music. The place is family owned and the owners are attentive and engaging. We went to see the wedding venue there and it is lovely! We highly recommend this vineyard in Ellijay!“

“Came for breakfast. Prices were great. My breakfast burrito was amazing and the trash can omelette was the best I’ve had. Their sausage gravy is yum!! Don’t let this place fool you! It’s worth it.“

“Food was great. Service was excellent and atmosphere was more than expected. I had the pleasure of my car breaking down in this parking lot when they were closed. A lady I assume was the owner had dropped by and she gave me a cold drink and allowed me to wait for the tow truck inside in the a/c. I had passed by several times and always meant to stop. So I finally did and not only do the treat people how they want to be treated they were providing water and food for a stray dog. Good people in my book.“

“LOVE the ZA. We have been going to Hitching Post for a couple years now. Great pizza and sandwiches. Nothing fancy, but pizza has nice thin crust and LOTS of toppings for the perfect combination. Also, the owners actually work there and we always love supporting local small business. Thanks for being a staple of Ellijay.“

“We had an excellent experience here from start to finish. The margarita selection was impressive, with plenty of great options to choose from. Service was prompt and attentive without feeling rushed, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Our food arrived hot and fresh, and the flavors did not disappoint. The salsa was outstanding—fresh and flavorful. The steak in the street tacos was perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned just right. This place clearly cares about quality and consistency. “We were heading home from Blue Ridge, GA and wanted a local breakfast. Our daughter found you online and we are so glad she did. We had french toast, bacon, eggs, grits, egg bake with gravy and of course pancakes. Our granddaughter loves pancakes and you can tell she’s happy! ? It was all delicious! We also enjoyed the couple playing and singing. What a great way to end our vacation.“
