It's located next to a convenient store, just these two businesses so parking is at the door very convenient. Man! So many choices of meat, and vegetables. You get to fix your own plate. They give you a to go box for the food but we ate there since we were from out of town. Food comes with cornbread. I had the fried chicken, rice with HOMEMADE brown gravy with onions, cabbage and mac and cheese.
Y'all!! One bite. And I knew. This was real homemade food. It was so good. And seasoned perfectly 👌 👍. I drank lemonade, sweet! I was too full to try the peach cobbler or the banana pudding. Wish I had got it to go, but I was so full I was in brain fog. That was lunch, I forgot to eat dinner later that day. Just full.“

“It was my first time coming to the store and it was DEFINITELY NOT BE MY LAST. I have finally found a spot that makes amazing Ox Tails in the area. I really like the portion size, the flavor is on point.

I also bought a side of steak bites over rice and that was awesome. The sides were very tasty. Super friendly service, I’d absolutely recommend others to try this spot out if you love Ox Tails, Ribs, Fish Fries, etc.“

“Where do I start! This place is about 45 minutes from my house(if there's no traffic). I finally made the drive and boy was it worth it! I got the oxtail with collard greens and candied yams plus a turkey wing on the side. The hype was real! Everything was delicious! Very flavorful and and big portions. I also got a red velvet cake and lemonade. The cake was really good and the lemonade might be some of the best I've ever had. Imani was also very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be making this drive again in the near future so that I can try their other items. Definitely a must try if you live in the A!“

“Magic City Kitchen lived up the the hype with its wings. I don’t even know where to get as good of wings in Atlanta. The LouWill Lemon Pepper bbq flavor was the perfect taste and the Sweet Potato Fries were even great.FYI, they have a beyond burger as a vegan option.“

She did an amazing job by explaining each item on the menu. I Gave Her The Opportunity Of Ordering My Food and Beer. Oh Boy She Did Not Disappoint. I had the Blackened Catfish with rice and beans and an Orange Still Diva Beer To Drink. It was her two favorite items and I had no complaints! The building itself is designed to let you really enjoy your food with multiple TVs and a massive projector screen. While my daughter and I waited for our food we were straight catered to. You can select your own show or movie or watch YouTube at a smaller bar or relax in reclining chairs. There are multiple sections to sit in so you can really enjoy the company you bring in your own private section. The food was hot, the wings were crispy, and even the ranch is the good one. I got the BLT and my daughter got garlic Parmesan wings. The fries are actually cooked well until golden and seasoned like they should be. Everything was delicious and the comfort is unmatched. For over 15 years, Annie Laura’s Kitchen has been a consistent go-to for me, and with good reason—the food is, more often than not, exceptional and absolutely finger-licking good. Their Southern comfort dishes carry a depth of flavor that keeps me coming back time and again.

Out of well over a hundred visits, I can recall only three occasions where the food fell short: twice, the turkey wings arrived undercooked, with meat still visibly red and inedible; once, the macaroni and cheese carried the unmistakable tang of spoiled milk. Those rare missteps, however, have never been enough to deter me from returning. In my book, 3 off-days out of 100 is a pretty remarkable track record.

The staff, particularly the young men and women taking orders outside, deserve special mention. Whether in the blazing summer heat or under a drizzle of rain, their attitudes remain warm, professional, and welcoming—a standard of service that deserves recognition.

Another point in Annie Laura’s favor is its pricing. Whether you’re dining solo or feeding a family of six, the portions are generous, and the value is undeniable.

That said, my overall rating of 4 stars reflects one lingering issue: the atmosphere. Both the exterior and interior are in dire need of an upgrade to match the quality of the food. The interior has long been closed for dine-in service, and reopening it could not only enhance the dining experience but also help alleviate the notoriously long drive-thru wait times—especially on Sundays.
