Husband ordered half rack of baby back ribs. BEST we've ever had! Hands down. Meaty, moist with a crackling crust. Great flavor!

I ordered a New York strip... Asked for it medium rare.. It came rare / raw in the middle. Roxana, our AWESOME waitress, took it back and gave it a bit more on the grill. Came back CLOSE... but not exactly right. So she took my Cabernet off the check!

Flavor was still great.Sides: Loaded baked potato and broccoli. Cooked perfectly..

OH, AND EXTRA POINTS ON THE DRINKS. I'm a bourbon girl and I'm picky about my Manhattans. They delivered: a Bourbon Trace up-- a little on the suite side and a generous portion. NICE

We’re no strangers to good food—we’re certified foodies—and this meal easily cracked the top 10 meals of our lives. For entrées, we ordered the shrimp & grits and the Campanella with beef ragout… and then proceeded to eat off each other’s plates all night because we genuinely couldn’t decide which one we liked better. The shrimp & grits were smoky, buttery perfection, and the ragout was slow-cooked, soul-warming magic. Dessert? Blueberry cobbler and chocolate bread pudding. “I had not eaten at Wayback since they had issues with a failed inspection a while back, but always enjoyed their good Carolina burger. Went back yesterday for the first time, and found that the burger is smaller, with prefab formed patties. While the chips were very good….I was disappointed with the burger based on previous experience. Sad because previously the Carolina was a great burger. Not sure if I will go back after this change.“

“The employee taking our order acted like a zombie, didn't speak unless necessary and even then it was robotic and devoid of any hint of emotion. He was effective though and got our orders right. I ordered the grilled white fish and grilled shrimp combo. When the food came out there was a ton of seasoning on the fish. It honestly looked like the lid came off the shaker. It had so much seasoning that dropping the plate on the table resulted in a cloud. This was only on one half of the fish, the other half was OK but so dry with the edge being very much like beef jerky. I drank an entire cup of tea trying to swallow it down. The shrimp, green beans and bread stick were good. The fried okra tasted good but it was greasy, too greasy. Three of us ate with two of us having okra. The two that ate okra have been having severe stomach distress since then. Our plans for after we had eaten were immediately discarded and the mad dash for the restroom began. It's been a day and I still can't stray far from the bathroom. I haven't gone for treatment yet but I do believe we've somehow gotten food poisoning from okra. The lobby was clean and pleasant. The tea was good. no bitterness at all.

“It was a lovely experience overall. We arrived and wandered the grounds, ate some grapes and after ordering drinks from the pub went and sat on the grass in a sunbeam. Dinner was in the Versailles room and while the food and service were amazing, the noise level and tvs made it seem less like an intimate dinner and more like we should have showed up in blue jeans. Wouldn't have gotten as fancied up had I known. The last time I had eaten the was in 94 and it was much more a high end French restaurant. Still, no complaints, after dinner moves to the fireplaces and walked the very lovely grounds. Was a wonderful experience. You should definitely go.“
