“Jason and I just had probably one of the best restaurant experiences and food I’ve ever had! We started with goats cheese appetizer, followed by a delicious Caesars salad. I ordered a center cut filet with scallops as my main course. Jason had the New York strip. We shared broccoli and fingerling potatoes as sides. The most amazing part was the bone marrow butter and foie gras butter complementing the steaks. To top it all off we brought home candied pecan bread pudding with Jim Beam sauce. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was so quaint. I truly had an amazing experience!“

“It's best to book ahead of time to eat here. We got in right away and we're seated across from the bar. The food was spectacular! I ate steak medallions with whipped potatoes and crab cake. Cooked at the right temperature. I sampled everyone else's food too. We got chicken biscuits as an appetizer. It was nice and crispy with a flaky mouth watering biscuit. Very spacious & it had a calming atmosphere.“

“My husband and I I go do lots of restaurant visits and we love doing it. Also we never really judge before we actually go and experience no matter it is franchise or not. This location of LongHorn has a great service and atmosphere. We had steaks and mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. All of them were excellent. We had a couple of drinks. Their glass of wine was heavy pouring which we enjoyed very much. We had martinis at the bar. Bartenders were friendly and made good drinks. Food came out fast. I think we met the owner who was friendly checking in each table to see if everything was good. Very well managed. Staff were smiling. We would definitely come back for our casual steak dinner!“

“I can’t say enough about my experience at Cattle Shed! From the moment I walked in, the service was top-notch. Every server was attentive and knowledgeable, but the real standout was Manager Alexis. She came by my table multiple times and I noticed her doing the same throughout the restaurant—checking on guests, running food, greeting people, recommending menu items, and making sure everyone’s expectations were exceeded. The steak was absolutely amazing—cooked perfectly—and the entire restaurant, including the restrooms, was spotless. The staff really know the menu inside and out. They offered thoughtful suggestions for wine, appetizers, drinks, and dessert pairings, which made the whole dining experience feel elevated. I’ll definitely be back! I even joked with Alexis that I could eat two steaks if I wasn’t on diet medication (and sadly had to pass on dessert). She’ll probably remember me for that! Room service was quick and the food came out hot, and the bed was super comfortable. The barista downstairs also did a great job on my caramel iced coffee. There were a couple of small things that could be improved: the TV had a few noticeable spots on the screen, and the shower door is only a half-door, which means you have to actually step into the tub to turn the water on. I would definitely come back. The vibe, comfort, and service all made the stay worth it.“

“I like this location a lot mainly because I've always had excellent service. I know a few hosts and servers by name and a couple of the managers and they've all been extremely pleasant and provide a level of service you might find in a much nicer restaurant. From the time you walk in and are greeted by Gray, Solomon, Sadie or one of the other hosts who are well organized and quite efficient when juggling people leaving, tables getting cleaned, and promptly seating you. Once at the table you're greeted very quickly by Emma, Mona, or Maggie to name a few of the wonderful servers and they offer you drinks and appetizers followed by impeccable service throughout the meal. You might have Maurice or Anthony check on you to make sure you're having a first class experience and that everything is exceptional. The food is very good and at a reasonable price point. I've had the filet, Outlaw Ribeye, renegade serloin, ribs, salmon, and the salad that's got strawberries and pecans on it and I've never been disappointed. They come prepared as expected at the temperature requested and accompanied by sides of choice and I've had almost all of them. Finishing up and getting a to-go box so I save room for the chocolate stampede. It's decadent and just half a piece will leave you feeling like you might need a driver to take you home. It's so rich and I simply cannot eat the entire thing in one setting. I highly recommend the place and any food item and if any of the aforementioned employees are there you'll be in very capable hands. I'm sure most, if not all, are very good but those are ones I've personally had the pleasure of dealing with.“

It's a solid restaurant and bar, and I've known quite a few bartenders and servers there during the last five or so years. What really keeps it on my list, though, is Leigha behind the bar. Leigha makes a great Old Fashioned, but it's more than just the drinks. Leigha has a way of making the bar feel comfortable and familiar, like catching up with a neighbor rather than just ordering another round. The conversation is always easy, never forced, and it's one of the main reasons my friends and I choose Salt when we're deciding where to go downtown. We usually check to see if she's working before making plans. That says a lot. Downtown Woodstock has plenty of good spots, but Leigha is a big reason Salt continues to stand out for us.“
