“Jason and I just had probably one of the best restaurant experiences and food I’ve ever had! We started with goats cheese appetizer, followed by a delicious Caesars salad. I ordered a center cut filet with scallops as my main course. Jason had the New York strip. We shared broccoli and fingerling potatoes as sides. The most amazing part was the bone marrow butter and foie gras butter complementing the steaks. To top it all off we brought home candied pecan bread pudding with Jim Beam sauce. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was so quaint. I truly had an amazing experience!“

“OK, my first trip to this restaurant. I've seen it for decades.
I took two of my daughters and treating them to a really good lunch.

Everything really was tasty and done pretty well. My oldest daughter actually works at a really high-end restaurant in Alpharetta. at the Avalon!

She's 29 years old and has served billionaires in South Florida at one of the most exclusive clubs outside of Marago!

“It's best to book ahead of time to eat here. We got in right away and we're seated across from the bar. The food was spectacular! I ate steak medallions with whipped potatoes and crab cake. Cooked at the right temperature. I sampled everyone else's food too. We got chicken biscuits as an appetizer. It was nice and crispy with a flaky mouth watering biscuit. Very spacious & it had a calming atmosphere.“

Kid-friendliness: When I came to pick up my take-out order, I brought my two young children in with me. The people running the place looked to be the owners. Quite sure it's an authentic family run place. There was a little boy behind the front counter playing with Easter eggs and eating his chocolate. When he saw my kids, without hesitation, he gave both of my kids and Easter egg with chocolate inside. If that's not kid friendly, I don't know what is....“

The ambiance was perfect for our group, elevated and inviting, with plenty of space to mingle while still being comfortable for those who wanted to sit, dine and enjoy the evening. From the ownership team to manager Gorman and my waitress Tory, the hospitality was genuine, polished, and effortless, the kind of service that elevates a dinner into an experience. Tory guided the night perfectly with recommendations that never missed: cocktails layered with flavor, standout small plates, and upgrades like freshly grated wasabi paired with my sashimi and sushi platter that completely changed the experience. Every detail felt intentional. The food itself was exceptional. Chef Chuck delivered dishes that were rich, balanced, and memorable without ever feeling overworked. The food was really good, and we also tried the fresh lemon and honey juice, which was delicious and refreshing. I had the fish and chips with malt vinegar. Malt vinegar isn’t really my cup of tea, but I know it’s a favorite for many people with fish and fries, and the dish itself was very nice.

I also really appreciated the thoughtful details throughout the restaurant. The bathroom was beautifully done, and I especially noticed that the seating area was high enough and comfortable for me to sit down easily. Those little details made a big difference.

“We were visiting Atlanta from Wilmington NC. My husband and I went to dinner on 9/6 and were incredibly blessed to meet Eric. He realized that our server, Lala, was busy and that we were waiting a couple of minutes at our table. Literally only a few minutes and we were in no rush at all. He immediately asked us what we would like to drink, was extremely personable, hospitable and friendly. Turns out we had LOTS in common!! Lala was amazing and super sweet and both Eric and Lala continued to serve us throughout the evening. Everything was amazing. The service, cocktails, wine and food were both exceptional!! Everything was so amazing that we ended up coming back the next evening and we were lucky enough to have Lala again for our server. Eric was about to leave for the evening when he saw that we had returned with our daughters and granddaughter. He stopped at our table and we chatted for several minutes while getting to know our children. It was another amazing encounter! The evening got EVEN BETTER when we met Curtis! Eric had asked Curtis to take good care of our family. He came over to our table and after speaking for under a minute, we found out that we had SO MUCH in common with Curtis as well!!!! He was incredibly friendly and hospitable. He even told our daughter, that we are moving into school in Atlanta, to give him a call if she needs anything at all. Food, body guard, gas money, anything, lol! We also had the pleasure of meeting the amazing bartender, Gerald. He came over to our table and introduced himself and we chatted for a few minutes. “I've dined here twice. I've had the catfish dinner and lamb chops. The food is pretty good, the customer service is good, but the menu slightly overpriced.

Most competitors catfish meals provide 2 filets as opposed to 1.

The sides are not consistent. I had the mac and cheese and parasean broccoli each time. The first visit made me crave the second visit experience lol. But I was disappointed.

I gave a 4 out of 5 score because my boyfriend had the surfside platter and salmon sliders and loves them.“

“The quality of the food is top notch. The facility has a cool vibe to it with the high ceilings, open kitchen, and large bar. Iirc, the wine racks are a throwback to the original FSE. Our waitress Nei (sp?) really knew the menu and made great recommendations on pairings of food. The seating area is rather open and can be noisy. The portions are appropriate for your meal, and there were no leftovers at our table. Prices are on par with other restaurants of this caliber. Plenty of free parking right behind the restaurant. “We visited on Mother’s Day, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. We started with the crab dip, bacon-wrapped scallops, and calamari. The scallops were the absolute showstopper.

For our entrees, I had the prime rib, which was incredibly tender and honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The rest of our group ordered the Chicken Marsala, fish tacos, and burgers, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

The food, great service, and overall experience made for a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration. We’ll definitely be returning and look forward to trying more of the menu!“

“Where do I start? Let me say this, you will not be disappointed at this location. We've been here 2 days this week and the food was absolutely amazing.

The staff the absolute best. La'Tissa (manager in charge of service), Trinae who was our server and bartender and Shelby who started out with us were all amazing.

I had the salmon both times. Wednesday was very good but today OMG, PHENOMENAL. Tim on that grill did his thing with that salmon.

My wife had the roasted chicken and it was seasoned to perfection. My brother had the ribs which are always great. This will be our weekly spot.

Dessert, I have no words for how good that key lime pie was.
