Positive and negative experience.The location of this lodge was perfect for visiting Helen. Not in the bustle of the town, but only a short drive away. The lodge itself was very nice and I love the contactless check in. I loved the small, homey feel. The complimentary coffee and snacks were nice as well. My first issue was check in. We stayed at Sylvan Valley Lodge & Cellars Sept 29-Oct 1 and it was the best experience! Lucy gave us great recommendations in town for dinner and we did the complimentary wine tasting our second night. Scott and Lucy were incredible at explaining the wines and they were so friendly! The room was perfect, the bed was comfortable and the wines were wonderful! We even bought two bottles to bring home with us. Holy wow! Driving up into the Sylvan Valley Lodge at dusk and seeing it for the first time with all its lights lit was a breathtakingly beautiful sight!
