“After a long, fun-filled day at the beach celebrating my son’s 7th birthday, we were all feeling pretty tired and hungry — and this restaurant turned out to be the perfect place to end our day. The food was absolutely fantastic — every bite was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was our waitress, Mandy. Mandy was simply amazing. She was incredibly warm, attentive, and personal, taking the time to make us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. She went above and beyond to help make our son’s birthday feel special, and her kindness and energy brought a smile to all of our faces — even after a long, sandy day at the beach. It’s rare to find a place where the food and the service are equally top-notch, but this restaurant nailed it. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we could come back. Huge thanks to Mandy and the whole team for making a special day even more memorable!”

“Wow; that is all I had to say leaving the Sundae Cafe. Seriously, some of the most exceptional food I have had in YEARS. We started with complementary homemade biscuits and peach jam, which were warm, delicious and the jam I would’ve taken home in a jar if I could’ve. The crab stuffed flounder was to die for, like completely blew my mind, the hot honey jerk shrimp was potentially my favorite shrimp I’ve had and the scallops were cooked beautifully, and tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. For dessert, we had a chocolate cake with fudge icing, which was phenomenal. Our server, Crystal, was a total doll, and the atmosphere was wonderful, especially given that this is located next to a damn liquor store and corner store! We will absolutely be back, and would give this 6 stars if we could. Don’t miss this gem while on Tybee! A place truly worth the price of admission (something I rarely find myself saying here).”

“This was the best food we had!!! The server had only been there 3 days but served as if she had been there forever. We did have a wait but worth it. The red fish which was one of the fresh catch of the day was cooked perfectly. The crab cakes, shrimp and grits and shrimp were all spot on. The atmosphere made you feel like a local ❤️”

“Our family had excellent service and food at the Wilmington location. My husband and kids ordered the breakfast buffet which had a nice selection and had great reviews from them. I ordered the Sunrise cheeseburger and fries but would have enjoyed the selection offered on the buffet. There were mini corndogs, french toast, pancakes, strawberries, oranges, watermelon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, chicken nuggets, banana pudding, muffins, and more. Will be back out next time in this area!”

“Stopped in twice during our vacation. Line is long but the staff are consistently friendly. Great lattes-tried the Joan and the Lainey. Both smooth, flavorful but not overly sweet. Also had chocolate chocolate chip muffin which was fresh and yummy. Service top notch-as I waited for my order I listened as compliments were given to everyone at the pick up window (I like your necklace, love your bands,etc)-great way to start a day! Cute patio area to sit in.”

“We got shaved ice here! So refreshing. A few outdoor seats. Just a window for ordering. One of our shaved ices was a bit heavy on the syrup. The window server was super friendly! We had gone into the ice cream shop across the street and it was so hot and unappealing that we changed our minds and went here. Did not regret our decision. Will be back to try the food!”

“My wife and I found Huc A Poos on our honeymoon back in 2019 and feel in love with the place. We try to go back to Tybee, at least every other year, and we make sure that Huc A Poos is one of the main places we eat at.”

“Great ice cream! They serve real Dole Whip which was a treat. The Blue Panda ice cream is the best - I wanted to try something that the regular ice cream brands at the grocery store don’t have and it was great! Friendly staff, and we were served quickly.”

“The only food they have here is popcorn! Which is popped regularly by the bartender and on this day Kimberly was our bartender who done a phenomenal job taking care of us!!

This is our first time in Tybee Island, and we stopped in here to watch a football game and have a drink and have been thoroughly impressed by the great service!

We eat out and drink about five nights a week and there are very few people who take care of you to the level that Kimberly does.”

“I totally recommend this amazing restaurant and the employees! The food is exceptional and never a disappointment. Also a huge thankful to the manager, Ron.. he went above and beyond, and helped me in the situation with my sugar as a diabetic. Was extremely low in the danger situation and he opened his restaurant to me and provided me with orange juice to help me stay alive, so a HUGE Thank you and I will always be Grateful to him and employees for being good human beings and showing compassion!! “went with a friend. We each got a single scoop of ice cream (no toppings). It was $18.. before being prompted to tip. There is a reason they don't have a complete list of prices listed. The man at the register made a bit of an unappreciated remark. He said the guy dipping ive cream was giving generous portions (which was comical).. and tried to act like we got double scoops. (we did not) won't be back.”

“We had an amazing waitress who was attentive to our family’s needs. We have 4 kids and they tend to get loud. But she interacted with them and made sure to take care of them with their food and beverages. And the fried fish dinner suggestion was appreciated. Hands down best fried fish I’ve ever had. If you are near Tybee, you have got to drive on down and try it. Seasoned well, fried to perfection, and delicious moist fish. Great service, fun atmosphere, and delicious food!”

“We went for a late lunch and it was great. The crab, mussels, shrimp were so good. The fried alligator strips were yum too, especially with the sauce. Everything was delicious!”
