The wine is like no other in the region sourced from near and far. I am told that in most cases the wineries are visited by the owners and operators Madeline and Colin. This greatly adds to the mystic because if you are lucky enough to be there when they are (which is highly likely), they may tell you a heartfelt story of how that particular wine made its way to Savannah and your palette. “Visited here on a Saturday around lunchtime. The bartender was welcoming and nice enough to let my husband and I bring our two dogs into the bar. He even provided them with a bowl of water. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and our drinks. We will definitely visit again the next time we're in Savannah!“

Planters Tavern in the cellar opens at five and we got in Line at 4:20 pm and were first in line at on a Saturday night in September. We were able to get cocktails to go at the bar inside and enjoyed them while we waited in line. We were greeted by John and service was excellent from John who checked in on us later and from the wait staff. Meals were exceptional and plenty of options at a range of prices. Chef’s fried chicken was one of the favorites along with the ravioli. Dark cellar with low lighting created a wonderful atmosphere. We had a wonderful bottle of wine at good price. Will definitely return every time we come to Savanah.“

“The only food they have here is popcorn! Which is popped regularly by the bartender and on this day Kimberly was our bartender who done a phenomenal job taking care of us!!

This is our first time in Tybee Island, and we stopped in here to watch a football game and have a drink and have been thoroughly impressed by the great service!

We eat out and drink about five nights a week and there are very few people who take care of you to the level that Kimberly does.“

“Oak 36 Bar + Kitchen is a great option when you want something modern and relaxed without heading downtown. The vibe is stylish yet comfortable — perfect for a casual happy hour or an easy dinner with friends.

We stopped in for happy hour and were impressed with the quality and value. The wood-fired meatballs were absolutely delicious, served with crusty bread for dipping, and paired perfectly with their cocktails. The espresso martini was one of the best I’ve had — smooth, rich, and beautifully presented.

The space itself is inviting with plenty of seating, a great bar setup, and friendly staff who make the experience easy and enjoyable. Parking: Just walk down River st., go up the steps by the new Alida, turn left and you are there!
Go back the same way so that you will be safer, in the street lights, more bars w/ people, no dark alleys.
