My salads were ready quickly which was great because our lunch break was only 30 minutes. Today the lettuce was fresh and the salads were delicious! Definitely plan to return. “There is seating and you can bring about four or five people per table. There’s also seating outside. It’s a really cool area of dying with family, friends or coworkers and also there is parking lots of parking right behind. It is literally connected within the storage building. literally it is located across McKinley high school’s football field. It is such a jam. They have really good fish there. The ambience is calm. It’s pretty quiet and next-door they have other high-end restaurants. This is a really good area to be in if you want to hang out with people visiting and or just bonding.“

“While visiting Hawaii my wife and I decided to try this place based on all the previous suggestions and the views. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted and told us it would be a short wait and it was. The decor was beautiful and there was a live musician playing the acoustic guitar on the side which gave the place a very relaxing vibe. We were lucky enough to get a balcony table. I’d suggest this so you can have a spectacular view of the ocean and the sunset. My wife and enjoyed the warm bread brought to the table served with this delicious strawberry butter. It wasn’t very heavy either. The drinks were really good as well. Our server (actually all of them) Tony was extremely good. He came and checked on us and made sure everything was good with us. When I go back I will definitely look for him. If you’re interested in something relaxing with a classy vibe. I recommend this place.“

For dessert the fruit crisp is tasty..and the icecream topped with candied ginger bits always delightful. The staff is attentive and friendly. The garden cafe ambience is excellent.“

“Good chicken, Just ordered a whole chicken plate, Had them chop the chicken in pieces which cost a $1 more. BUT!! After I left to my office to eat I notice my chicken wasn’t hot. Literally within 5mins of leaving but my food ain’t hot. Y’all literally just pulled the chicken out the fridge and warmed it up. I literally thought I was paying for a HOT PLATE.“

“Delicious, healthy food that doesn’t leave you feeling oily or gross after. The owner even came out to chitchat in the morning and share about the food making process. They use less oil, no canola oil at all and fresh veggies overall.

My favorite sides were the lotus salad and the hijiki salad! Crunchy, lightly sweet, and packed with different ingredients.

Dijon chicken was super juicy and the Dijon mustard was perfect. There’s a bone!

“I went to several great poke places during my trip to Hawaii, and this one was by far the best. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. They say they don't use frozen fish, so the tuna sashimi was so fresh and the seasoning was perfect, making it the best. Even my 11-year-old son enjoyed it very much!
The owner, Tommy, was very pleasant and friendly.
I was so sad that I visited on the last day. I definitely recommend it.“

“I found this restaurant by chance. I was taking my son to a tuxedo fitting at Men's Warehouse right next door when I noticed this gem. The food here has great flavor and definitely does not feel like something that was rushed, but actually made with care for the presentation and flavor. The atmosphere was relaxed and clean. We ordered the regular pho, Bun Bo Hue, and steamed lemongrass clams (thai chili). Again, great flavor, fresh garnished and would definitely recommend for anyone in the mood for some great Vietnamese cuisine!“

I ordered broiled saba(mackerel) teishoku. The skin was crispy, the fish was fluffy and had a rich, oily flavor. It even came with grated daikon, and the miso soup was delicious.

We can almost always find what we are looking for including gifts from local artists and made quite a few friends with some of the vendors. There is something for everyone. “I only found out about Wai Kai a month ago after a friend bought a condo nearby. Since that time, my family and I have been back numerous times to eat at all of their restaurants and attend their Farmer's market. All of the food is outstanding which is why we even went back twice in one day to eat at 2 of their restaurants. They have amazing staff from their manager, Keith, their cooks, and their waiters and waitresses. This place is a hidden gem because it's a family friendly place that has the atmosphere of Waikiki without the crime or crowds. Both kids and adults can come and have a great time whether it's doing a water sport, eating in one of their excellent restaurants, or relaxing on their lawn during the Farmer's market where they have a wide variety of food and local products to choose from.“
