“Oh my goodness the garlic class are to die for. I was complaining to my partner that he ordered too much food however he made the best choice. We had the steak and garlic shrimp and coconut prawns all amazing! Worth the drive. You won't be disappointed.”

“Stopped by Aloha Shrimp and it did not disappoint! The lady working there was so sweet, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried the spicy garlic shrimp, and it was incredible. The next day, we checked out Giovanni's Shrimp Truck because of all the hype, but honestly, Aloha Shrimp was way better!”

“Best seak taco I’ve had in years. The tamale were good but nowhere as special as the tacos. Get them and the avocado sauce. Also, shady under a huge tree with a clear view of the ocean behind you.”

“Great local place! You know it's gonna be good when it's mostly locals there that the owners know.

Our favorite dish from there were the peanut butter buns. This cannot be missed! If you like peanut butter - please don't leave workout trying it from here. Gooey delicious and divine.

“I was 9 years old in 1964 when we visited Oahu. Coconut Joes is my favorite memory. I'm glad to see it is still there although it has changed from a hut made of chicken wire covered by vines to a modern building. I'm wondering if they still have a myna bird somewher on the property. My brother and I loved that bird.”

“This was a nice little place to visit. I'm not personally a coffee drinker, but I did try some samples. It was pretty good! We bought some coffee for the coffee-drinkers in the Family. I really wish they would have given some type of a brief presentation of how coffee is grown and the process for turning it into coffee grounds.”

“This place hides in back of a parking lot surrounded by food trucks. The place itself is a shack, it is the Ford Fiesta of food trucks. Only one dish served, with five choices of topping: Bingsu with chocolate, mango, strawberry, pineapple, or melon.

A cup of frozen sweet cream that has been shaved to the fineness of powdered sugar with alternating layers of your topping, and a scoup of vanilla ice cream on top.

Light, delicious, and exceptionally refreshing in the hot humid afternoon. Wife and I shared one serving with pineapple and it was plenty.”

“Driven by this place dozens of times, but it looked so touristy - big bus tours stopping, shells in the window, etc. - never stopped. Obviously finally did and the chicken was excellent, as was the mac salad and huli huli sauce. Grabbed it to go and ate at a beach up the road. So good forgot to take pics until it was demolished!”

“The last time we came to Hawaii, we came to the Sunrise Shack for an açaí bowl. It was so good we had to come back! I highly recommend it if you are visiting the North Shore. Plenty of shade, plants and seating!”
