On the backside of the shopping plaza, near Costco, which inherently makes parking more challenging on the weekends. A relatively small menu, but that means that they make really good quality stuff. Very loaded sandwiches, good customer, service, and quick turnaround.
We recently moved near Hawai'i Kai, and I've been craving sandwiches. Mala Market is perfect for light yet filling sandwiches. They're made fresh, and inside, the cafe overlooks the bay so you have great views to enjoy your meal with ¨ We got their veggie and chicken salad sandwich -- both tasted phenomenal. beautiful spot for a healthy feel-good lunch. So i consider their sandwiches OG deli-home style, meaning instead of outrageous amounts of meat n cheese, they layer on bountiful amount of neatly prepped veggies. some might say its bland, but i say its light n delicate. i felt good after, instead of bloated. the view is peaceful n beautiful. nice spot for a quiet lunch.Parking: avoid parking near costco!
