“I forget the name, but I think it’s “the cowboy”. Onion ring, bacon, cheese, bbq sauce. So stinkin good, but when you eat it on the beach at sunset it is scientifically proven to be 10 times better! This place makes amazing burgers and is absolutely a must visit on the island“

“1st time visiting from California and my husband's 1st time trying sushi (which took a long time to finally get him to try it). We just happened to find the new place traveling around the island. Evan was working and was exceptional, very friendly and helpful with making selections off the menu. We Loved the atmosphere, especially the Christian music playing. Very clean and a good vibe. We loved it so much we had to buy some t-shirts. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We'll definitely be returning.

“Great local place! You know it's gonna be good when it's mostly locals there that the owners know.
Our favorite dish from there were the peanut butter buns. This cannot be missed! If you like peanut butter - please don't leave workout trying it from here. Gooey delicious and divine.
The garlic shrimp were yummy. Loco moco was above average. Kalbi beef was great.“

“This place is our favorite food truck so far. My buddy had the garlic shrimp but asked to make spicy 🌶️ at a level eight heat. He got every bit of it. 😳 The wives shared the fried rice and loved it. As for me I tried the Thai Loco Moco and it was incredibly good. Just wish I’d gotten photos.“

“We had a tour guide take us around the Island. We wanted to go to an authentic place to eat, not fancy touristy restaurants. He recommended 2 places, (I won't say the other one on this review, but it was also excellent!) He brought us to Coral Kingdom for the Huli Huli Chicken. It was so flavorful, juicy and delicious! We loved the relaxed atmosphere and good food. After we ate, we went shopping and got some cute souvenirs. I'm so glad we didn't miss this spot.“

“This is a very nice restaurant on the windward side serving up local style Japanese food. It is a restaurant frequented by locals in the area.
There is a good selection to choose from and the portions are generous. The food is delicious and prices are good. The staff is very friendly with excellent service.
Overall it is a nice clean and relaxing place to enjoy good food with good people.“

“Absolutely love Nelly's Tacos! This place is a hidden gem for authentic Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff are super friendly. But let's talk about the food - hands down the best burritos on the island! Every bite is bursting with flavor and you can tell they use fresh, quality ingredients. Whether you're craving tacos, burritos, or anything in between, Nelly's Tacos is the place to go. Highly recommend!“

“Although for now there is only takeout service, it is worth it. The portions are large, we ordered a "mini" lococo and the hungry hawaiian, more than enough to share between 2, the taste of the food was outstanding. The coffee is also very good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The overall quality exceeds the cost. It seems like a must-see place on the North Shore.“

“Now called Javi’s. Food was great! The waitress was super nice and attentive. The food came out fast, hot, and fresh. I wish the queso dip wasn’t over $12, but the other dishes are reasonably priced. BYOB at the moment until they get their liquor license. There’s a market next door that might have alcoholic beverages. There’s parking lot is a little cramped, so massive trucks would be hard to park in there.“

“Good food that is reasonably priced with large portions!
The menu has a ton of things on it and we only tried three things (crab rangoon, asparagus with shrimp, and honey orange chicken). I would definitely get the asparagus with shrimp again, it was so good!
The honey orange chicken lacked much of the orange flavor, but it was decent. We will come back for sure, probably with a bigger group to share lots of things.“

“Second favorite brewery in Hawaii but only by a slim margin, it was so close between Inu Island and Hana Koa. This place is well worth the gorgeous drive, and the scenery near the bar is honestly breathtaking. Those mountains wrapping around the bay are truly such a blessing on this world.“

Service can be a bit spotty once you have your food (waited a while for water), but they took our order quickly and the food came out perfect, and absolutely delicious! “Love these guys, the food is consistently good, and the restaurant is run by a lovely family! The atmosphere is calm and cozy; it's a small space but they've done it up nicely. Would wholly recommend eating here if you're in the neighborhood.
The one thing is I wish they'd get the phones taken care of, for some reason when you call in it often goes straight to voicemail - but I usually walk in to order so it's not a big deal. If you can't call in def just stop by to see if they're open, it's worth it!!“

“Impressed by Pan's Kitchen yesterday! I ordered the fresh grilled ahi, and let me tell you, it was incredible. With the first bite you could tell just how fresh it was - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Just a heads up, there might be small hard time understanding sometimes due to the owner's accent. But be patient, communication works out, and the food is absolutely worth it. Parking can be tricky - it's one of those places we only go to when we see a spot open. We got lucky yesterday with an empty space, but two trucks swooped in as soon as we pulled in! Despite the potential parking hassle, Pan's Kitchen is a hidden gem. Highly recommend it for the incredible ahi (and hopefully a parking spot)!“

“You can’t find this kind of Asian food at home! Nothing fancy, just excellent food! Order family style and share the dishes. Try items you’ve never had before. You won’t be disappointed!We ordered fried wontons, chicken fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, chicken chow mien, and minute chicken with cake noodles. The food came out quickly! Our bill was $36 for all of that food with leftovers. Friendly and helpful service. The locals eat here for a reason.“

“This little place is worth the stop if you love amazing smoke meats and fresh ingredients. Super creative menu, vegetarian options. The cucumber cooler is Amazing. It’s take out only right now but the park across the street offers the most amazing views of the cliffs and the ocean. Find a picnic table or bring and blanket. I guarantee it won’t disappoint.
