Awa ( Hawaiian Cava)- was unique, it is made from the root of pepper plant . It is an acquired taste , so very glad we tried it. We drank our bowl.

CHICKEN LAU LAU- the greens , Butterfield combo was great. Kimchi being a good accompaniment. This was a good satisfying bowl of food. Comes with - purple sweet potato, greens butter fish n chicken, 2 balls of rice topped with furikake, kimchi.

Sweet potato in coconut milk- this was a disappointment. We couldn't eat it. The root veggie was bland, the coconut milk was not seasoned. I had eaten something similar to this in a luau with coconut cream and loved it. This dish here was sub par.“

“Our family of 11 dined here on July 28th. We chose this restaurant as it was close to where we would be doing the Manta Ray Swim and where others that were golfing at Kona Country Club were close as well. The food was delicious. I think we had a little of everything at our table. Sweet chili wings, fries, Chicken Teriyaki, Seafood Pasta, Fish Tacos, are just a few of the items our crew enjoyed! Oh, and the Chocolate cake was amazing! Our sever, Cherlynn (I hoped I spelled it right) was absolutely outstanding! While we were at dinner our swim was canceled. We were a little bummed but her attitude, personality, and spirit was just what we needed! She truly has the kindest soul and a great resprentation of Aloha. Thank you for a wonderful experience. “We had great, speedy service, and the food was great! We had the poke bowl, chicken dipper basket, wings, and a chicken-cheese quesadilla. Everything was about the size you'd expect except for the wings. There are only 5 but the texture was good! The prices are about what you'd expect at an oceanfront resort- about $14-18 per appetizer and $18-30 for entrees. For those with kids, the chicken dipper basket at $18 comes with fries and is big enough to split. The quesadilla at $14 is also huge. Oh, the Mai Tai was good, but the Lava Flow Mai Tai was absolutely better!!!“

“Our server Piialoha was incredible. While the food, location, and ambiance was wonderful, Piialoha was a difference maker. She was kind, efficient, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We dined there the following day, and it was not the same. The food and ocean side venue were amazing both days, but the service the following day was “normal”, not exceptional as it was with Piialoha. Overall we loved our experience at Beach Tree.“

“The beer was cold. The food was hot. The bar tender was friendly. Hamburger was tasty, the ahi and shrimp bites were seasoned nicely. All was good. The other patrons were friendly too. The only negative was that someone threw up close by, and the smell waffted into the restaurant.“

“Wonderful view and food. I recommend trying to get there a little before sunset. There are about a half dozen tables right along the edge of the patio that give an unobstructed view of the bay and sunset. However, of you can't get one of those tables pretty much most of the restaurant has a view of the ocean.“

“I just found this place today. What a great location, high above the shopping center. The views go for miles. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp and a Raspberry Rita, which was so pretty, with the sugar rim. Friendly service & yummy food.“

“Rolled up randomly a Monday night, we were the only ones but that made it even more fun. They had 3 HUGE books of songs to choose from. Staff was friendly and pricing wasn't bad. When I swing through Kona again I will definitely stop by.“
