“You can easily eat abalone on the Big Island of Hawaii. 5 minutes by car from Kona Airport. This is an abalone farming center. You can also cook your own food on the barbecue. We received pre-cooked abalone from the kitchen wagon. On this day, we also had a special menu, carpaccio. The taste is lemony and refreshing, and the texture is crunchy and fresh! I don't think you can eat garlic butter sauté in such a luxurious way in Japan. I was able to enjoy bite-sized pieces of abalone in the shell. Shared by 3 people.“

“I need to start out by acknowledging how incredible the staff was. Engaged with our daughter, great about being patient while we ordered and taking time to make us feel like we were regular customers. That right there, is how you build loyalty. Nothing but love from this Canadian. Everyone working December 5th 2024, is who you want always representative of your business.

Now, the secondary qualities: the coffee is perfect. Not even a hint of bitterness or lqcking any substantial flavor. Just get a 12 of black coffee and appreciate what quality coffee does as a consumer.

The frozen Ube coffee was awesome, full flavor, not overly sweet, and really just hit all the spots for us.

The music wasn't overly loud, the atmosphere was so much easier to take in and appreciate, and the vibe they've worked on establishing is already there and balanced for any customer. We'll be back, and will make a point to support HiCo moving forward.

Update: went back and ordered the loaded spam musubi, the food is absolutely also a valid reason to visit. The strawberry gin is incredible as well. Cant recommend enough.“

“Having found (and loved) Magics on a prior visit to the Bug Island, it was an easy call to start this trip with a beachside lunch immediately after arriving. Nothing cures travel fatigue better than relaxing under an umbrella on Magics' deck over the waves with a brilliant mai tai and an order of firecracker ono tacos. Really good food and drinks, friendly staff, perfect location.“

“The sign says ask about the dirty coffee but everyone should ask about the pour over! Excellent pour over with your choice of beans, iced or hot. It's the best coffee I've had in Hawaii. It may take a while to prepare a pour over but it's worth the wait.“

“I have always loved the smell of coffee, but unfortunately could not get past the acidic taste. Kona coffee café introduced me to Peaberry Kona coffee. This is the first time that I have ever been able to drink coffee let alone really enjoy it. The friendly staff explained how the volcanic soil and the timing of picking the bean changed the acidity in the coffee. My girlfriend opted for the Blackened Chicken Rigatoni, a dish that was as bold in flavor as it was visually appealing. I opted for the 14oz Grilled Prime Ribeye, and while the steak itself was a masterclass in grilling, cooked medium-rare to perfection with a beautifully seared crust, the choice of accompaniment left me wanting more. The ribeye's tenderness and rich marbling deserved a side that matched its sophistication. While the French fries were well-executed, crisp and golden, they felt a bit out of place alongside such a premium cut of meat. A more refined side, perhaps roasted vegetables or a creamy potato dish, would have elevated the overall presentation and experience, bringing the dish to a more elevated level.

We were so taken with the Brussel sprouts that we ordered not one but two servings. These sprouts were a revelation, crispy on the edges with a tender center and caramelized to perfection. The balance of slight bitterness from the sprouts and the sweet, smoky glaze they were tossed in was absolutely divine. Their texture and flavor were a perfect contrast to the richness of our mains, making them an absolute must-have for any visit.

Residents Beach House combines culinary mastery with one of the most stunning beachside ambiances I've experienced. From the expertly cooked ribeye to the unforgettable brussel sprouts, the meal was spectacular from start to finish. Whether you're seeking a romantic date night destination or a place to indulge in top-tier cuisine, Residents Beach House is a must-visit. I will undoubtedly return to relive this incredible experience.
