“I and my husband celebrated our anniversary there. It was our first time and we were so impressed. It was like a secret special place in the back of a pub. We had to give a secret code (which we received when we made the reservation) to be allowed through the door. Once let in, it felt like we just popped into a bar from the jazz age. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive. We highly recommend the place for a special celebration.“

You can’t beat the happy hour special prices, $12 for a draft beer and burger/tacos/pulled pork etc. depending on the day, the pulled pork is my favorite. Excellent draft selection of local beers. Dog friendly lanai. Staff are also very friendly. Our favorite place for happy hour in Kailua.“

“My first time at this cocktail bar was spot on. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Jenn, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. I asked for her recommendations on the most spirit-forward cocktails, and she truly delivered. I was a little hesitant at first when she suggested their twists on the classic Old Fashioned and Manhattan, as you can get those almost anywhere. But I am so glad I trusted her. The drinks were expertly crafted and absolutely delicious.

Jenn and I got to talking, and she told me all about the bar's inspiration from a place in Japan and the whole atmosphere felt so warm and homey. You could tell the staff genuinely enjoyed working together, which made the experience even better. It’s rare to find a place that feels this welcoming, and I’m so happy I found this hidden gem. “I stopped by this place in the hotel where I was staying at night alone. I asked the server for the beer and chose Maui Brewing Bikini Blonde. And I ordered Pork Tenderloin. Pork Tenderloin had good ingredients and tasted good. The beer was light and easy to drink. There were various people inside the Pint, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the conversation. The servers were all pleasant and comfortable.“

“We had a private event at Remixx. We ordered catering style and the food was terrific. A highlight on the menu is definitely the corned beef fried rice and the smoked meats.

But what sets this place apart is the service. We set up our event with Kapiolani. She was helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. The night of the event all the servers on staff were so friendly and always keeping the tables clean.

This place fit our event of about 50 people comfortably.“

Good points for improving it its maybe putting window film in the front entrance door and all the windows up top to provide some privacy and cut out all of the bright street lighting coming in and fighting with the inside dark smokey mood. “It's been a while since I visited Bar 35. Sat at the bar with friends and had a wonderful time. It has a live entertainer (a singer) tonight and he was awesome! Had the pork belly and Brussels sprouts--both were delish! Will definitely go back more often!

That’s a double stacked filet with a double order of fries. 8$ will get you just a sandwich at a fast food chicken place. 16 oz guava juice was 2$. I’m going to have lunch there weekly from now on.“
