“For a place this small, it feels bigger than an IKEA. They have everything you need, and more (still regretting not buying that big brim straw hat 🥲). Do NOT skip the delicious sandwich shop in the back. Shout out to big homie with the beer knowledge that steered me to probably the best seltzer I've ever had, which absolutely slapped after a hard windy paddle out to the Mokes. “Highly recommended!!! If you’re craving authentic Mexican food, this is your spot. I stopped in on a Tuesday for their taco specials and was absolutely blown away. The tacos were legit, with tender meat, fresh onions and cilantro, and warm tortillas that hit the spot.

The chips and guacamole? Next level good. 🥑 Incredibly fresh, creamy, and flavorful. Easily some of the best I’ve had in Oahu.

What really made the visit great though was the kindness and speed of the service. Everyone there was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about your experience. You can feel the pride they take in their food and service.

“My absolute favorite restaurant in Kailua! I have been to Morocco 3 times and missed Africa a lot since I moved to this island. The chef is a very sweet man from Morocco that cooks with love for his flavorful cuisine. The water ceremony for the hands it’s also very nice and I love that they shower me (cause I ask everytime 😄) with orange blossom water at the end of my dinner! “So stoked to find somewhere that does gluten free ramen noodles, and the whole dish was delicious too!! We had the house Charsiu pork each, mine with a shoyu base and his with curry. Both were so tasty, and plenty condiments provided to spice, salt, soy the broth as you please. There were many other broth options that might suit celiac better but mine is intolerance and sauces don’t usually cause bad flare-ups so this was a perfect indulgence. Would definitely come back!“

“This is a solid takeout spot with good poke. There are spots to sit and eat outside. Make sure you ask about their ingredients. I discovered peanuts in their Thai basil poke after I started eating it and sharing with my son who has a peanut allergy. We had to rush to get some allergy meds afterwards so be careful.“

“Came here with my family and we absolutely loved it. This is a true hole-in-the-wall spot, which we always appreciate because the food is usually the most authentic—and this place did not disappoint.

The portions were very generous for the price, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and satisfying. You definitely get great value for what you pay.

The woman who served us was incredibly kind and impressive—she was running the entire place on her own and still made us feel welcomed and taken care of.

“This bar is a good street side location, and has an excellent happy hour special each day of the week. You can’t beat the happy hour special prices, $12 for a draft beer and burger/tacos/pulled pork etc. depending on the day, the pulled pork is my favorite. Excellent draft selection of local beers. Dog friendly lanai. Staff are also very friendly. Our favorite place for happy hour in Kailua.“

“I really try not to give out five stars but this one is 4.5 stars reminds me of chipotle but not some big franchise cookie cutter food chain. The food is good they stay packed but they work with great efficiency there’s not a lot of room to sit so it’s perfect to grab and go. Will for sure go back.“

“Ordered Teh C...and Kopi and Kaya toast. the teh c taste like some regulat tea bag with just some.hot water poured into it. does not even taste like any teh from the singapore kopitiam. the kopi too.. the girl with the nose ring also forgot about out Kaya toast until I went to ask about it after 15 mins later. One of the girls did gave us a free croissant for that. I don't know why the girl keep saying teh Tarik when I ordered Teh C, had to confirm again and again.kaya toast tasted correct though.“

This place seems like a good value for money compared to some other places I ate at in Kona. I didn’t get a fortune cookie with my meal though, which I’m used to getting at home.
