“This was my second time here, and both visits have been enjoyable. They’ve got plenty of options if you're craving Vietnamese food, including some solid vegetarian choices, which is always great to see.
The food tasted good, the staff were friendly, and there wasn’t a long wait. You can dine in or grab takeout, so it’s convenient whether you’re eating there or on the go.
Overall, a nice go-to spot for a casual, satisfying meal!“

“I honestly love this place! I remember first time I came here there was a bit more stay so less of a wait. Tonight, I came with my 3 daughters and husband. They were very accommodating of my girls and upon getting there they offered a high chair for my youngest child. I got the spicy seafood ramen (I took the picture after having a few bites, oops) and my husband also had ramen but I forgot the name of it. We were both very impressed by the portion sizes! I can usually finish my ramen, but i was so full halfway through. My husband ended up finishing his, but he was full as well! My oldest loved the plain ramen with noodles they made for our girls. This was one of the only times I have seen her finish the bowl along with the brother, and ask for more! Not a lot else for keiki, but again, they were accommodating and we asked for 2 small bowls which helped us allow the youngest girls to try ramen. Now, I give 5 stars because the food was great, and even being short staffed the service was good too. I will forewarn that if you are in a rush, this place would probably not be good for you. I only say this because we saw one guy working register, taking orders, rending tables, and making the takeout. Then there was the one cook in the back. They are a great team, because I was being nosy and saw the huge order they made, while they still had our ramen out in a decent time. However, this did cause a little bit of a delay in the beginning. Once things slowed down, they had a good rhythm, and we were very well taken care of. I dont want to assume this establishment is family owned, but it could be with how short staffed they are. Anyways, if you want lots of noodles, and enjoy a cute hole in the wall, then I highly recommend! Make sure you check wait times if you're in a rush, and ask for little bowls for your keiki if they're tagging along. :)“

“Some of the best sushi you will ever have... Owner and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the sushi/poke is outstanding. Aloha Sushi is a must visit for local, fresh, amazing sushi, and if the sushi doesn't make you want to come back for more, the friendly owner/staff certainly will.“

“Hands down the best pho I’ve ever had! I’ve tried multiple spots on the island, but I always find myself coming back here. The flavors are unmatched, fresh, and comforting every single time. The seating inside is a little limited, so there can be a wait, but it’s always 100% worth it. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they do their best to get you seated quickly. Easily my favorite spot for pho!“

“Aunty and her employees are always so nice and welcoming. As the face of the restaurant, she doesn't disappoint with her constant smile and infectious laughter.
The restaurant has converted to an AYCE menu wich is reasonably priced and they kept their more famous appetizers on the menu as well.
Can't forget to save room for that shaved ice at the end!“

“Had the chicken wings, calamari, popcorn chicken, crispy buns, and chicken noodle soup with beef, mushrooms, Bokchoy, and tofu. My soul was fed, and my heart was warm. ☺️ Everything Yoyo recommended was 10/10! She was patient, kind, and answered all of our questions about the menu. Give that woman a pay raise!:) Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu:)“

“We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated at an open table. Waters, menu, and table-ware were already on the table. We ordered Kamikaze roll, dancing shrimp roll, and stuffed mushrooms and everything was actually delicious (no there was no discount for me to write a review for them, its actually good). Plates were removed as soon as we finished one roll and the next was served. We dropped a chop stick and we're immediately given a new set. Check was served immediately when we finished the last roll too. We left very impressed.“
“Friendly, cheap, and tasty. Popular with the locals—lots of regulars.“
“I meant to go to Joeʻs Grill that was recommended to me but didnʻt walk one more door down. But thatʻs OK, this place is great!
I got the furukake fish special plate which is so yummy. The fish portion is a little smaller than other places but if thatʻs how they kept the price of $10.99 down for a plate is OK with me as I couldnʻt finish it anyway. Garlic slices on the fish and furukake on the rice were extra ono.
As far as atmosphere, itʻs a little place with little carveouts for the kitchen, the cashier, the 3 stool eating area and a little space for the customers, so no, the ambience is Hole In The Wall. But thatʻs OK.
The cashier was nice, the food was very good and you just gotta take out and eat elsewhere or perch on a stool looking at their supplies. Iʻll try Joeʻs one day but Iʻll definitely come back here again.“

“Went here with a couple friends for the first time and it is fairly expensive, looking at the prices, luckily the lead of the bridal party was paying since she made the reservation, otherwise this is one place I wouldn't have been able to touch for a while. As for the food, it's good. It's just your simple hot pot, we went for the basic ichiriki soup base with the PorkZilla Nabe.“

“The Kalbi here is amazing, it was deliciously thick and covered in a smoky char flavor that made it irresistible. Seriously an underrated spot. Any trucks nearby, even a few minutes up the road, will skimp on grilled short rib. I was half expecting a super thing piece of meat but wow it was probably the thickest Kalbi I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend to anyone, the owner deserves all the business he gets!“

“Best Thai on the island. Always hot, perfect spice level. Great customer service.“
“I went there on Wednesday about 115p. There's lots of free parking. I like the male cashier employees because they're more friendly. This time I got the crispy noodle with chicken. But I've also ordered garlic shrimp, salt and pepper shrimp, chicken wings. These are the plate lunches I like the most. I would continue to eat here if I'm in the area“
“Always hit the spot. I tend to stay away from the rice it's not good to me, but the chow mein a great. Orange Chicken is usually cooked pretty recently, and beef broccoli is very good. Rangoon and spring rolls are as well. I stay away from the chicken teriyaki because the thighs always seem to have a weird texture, and the sauce sucks(just a Panda Express problem and just a personal preference)
They are always nice and give more generous portions than other locations usually.“

“Mamaya continues to be a go-to spot for good-quality, reasonably priced bentos. One of the best perks is that (if I recall correctly) any purchase around $10 or more comes with a free bottle of water. They also offer a punch card loyalty program—though I unfortunately lost mine with three stamps on it!
The shop is clean and well-organized. You start on the right side and walk around the displays to select your bento. The service is consistently friendly, and depending on the day or occasion, they’ve even been known to give out a free single spring roll with your meal.
They have a massive variety of bentos to choose from, with white and multi grain rice options available, ranging from classic local favorites to more traditional Japanese styles. On this visit, I went with the Chicken Katsu-don. For right around $10, the portion and quality were excellent. It’s definitely worth the price.
Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a reliable dinner to take home, Mamaya is a fantastic value. Just try not to lose your punch card like I did!
Note: This is a strict grab-to-go restaurant. There are no tables and chairs to hangout.“

“For the amount of food, cost is worth it. Got mini plates with two sides. Both the bbq chicken and chicken katsu plate taste like going to any yummys in hawaii.
Service was pretty bad. One of the empty plates fell onto the ground. The guy picked it up and was about to put the sides in it. Luckily his coworker scolded him and he grabbed another, clean plate on the counter. A different time, the server seemed lost while putting sides in the plate and grabbing another plate. It was a weird situation.“

“Yummy Korea BBQ at Pearlridge Mall is one of my go-to spots when I’m craving something flavorful and filling. What really sets it apart is how clean and well-kept everything is—you can tell they take pride in how they run the place. The food always tastes fresh, from the perfectly grilled BBQ chicken and kalbi to the crisp, well-seasoned sides. There’s a depth of flavor in their BBQ that you just don’t get at most other food court places. It feels like real care goes into every plate. For a quick bite, it’s surprisingly satisfying and always hits the spot.“

“Curry House CoCo Ichibanya delivers exactly what it promises: reliably delicious Japanese curry. The ability to customize the rice portion, spice level, and toppings (the katsu is a must-try!) makes every visit satisfying, and the food itself is consistently flavorful, hot, and well-prepared. If you're looking for quality Japanese curry, this place hits the spot.
The one-star deduction, however, is purely for the dine-in experience. It was disappointing to see the majority of the dining area seemingly blocked off. This left the available seating feeling cramped and utilitarian, making the atmosphere awkward and far less comfortable than it should be. While the incredible food makes it worth a trip, be prepared for a less-than-ideal ambiance due to the limited space.“

“The moment it hits the grill—whether it’s marinated galbi or clean, unadorned brisket—you know you’re in serious territory. The fat renders fast, dripping into flame, sending up that unmistakable smoke signal that bypasses reason and goes straight for the animal part of your brain. This is beef that wants heat, that improves under pressure, that rewards restraint if you let it char just enough before the flip.
The galbi is sweet without being apologetic about it, soy and sugar tempered by garlic, the marinade soaked deep into the muscle rather than painted on like a sales pitch. Cook it right and it pulls with a gentle resistance, the kind that reminds you you’re eating something that once had a life. The unmarinated cuts—bulgogi-style or brisket—are where the place really shows its confidence. No camouflage, no tricks. Just good beef, sliced thin, trusting the grill and your attention span to do the rest.
Wrap that beef in lettuce, add raw garlic and a green chili, drag it through ssamjang, and you get the full argument in one bite: fat, heat, sweetness, funk, crunch. It’s loud, messy, and profoundly satisfying. You don’t talk while eating it. You nod. You reach for another piece. Conversation can wait.
Yummy doesn’t moralize about provenance or wag its finger about technique. It simply puts beef in front of you that behaves the way beef should when exposed to fire. This is barbecue as a collaboration between cow, cook, and flame—and when it works, which it does here, you leave smelling like smoke and feeling like you made the right decisions today.“

“The food was so good and really hit the spot. Husband ordered the black garlic oil tantan ramen and I had a combo meal of egg drop soup, gyoza, and chicken katsu curry rice. We especially loved the ramen because of how strong the garlic flavor is.
Service was great, it wasn't busy so we got seated immediately and after ordering the food came out pretty fast. The servers were nice and polite as well.“
