“Walking into this place I immediately felt like I was on West Texas! The decor on the walls, the music, the owner greeting you invitingly…it was the perfect ambiance for a Sunday family brunch. Charming and authentic!

The chips and salsa were on the table fast and were SO GOOD. The chips were thick, obviously made in house. The salsa was spicy and so delicious my husband was drinking the cup.

Reasonably priced and the food was spot on. We lived in El Paso for years and this was the best Mexican food we’ve had since then.

We will definitely be back. Next time we will save room for dessert (fried ice cream or churros). The food was so good we just stuffed our faces!“

“Great place! Line was out the door. Poke is served both on rice or on fresh salad. The varieties are delicious and all the options are fresh! The staff was extra careful to help with our order and the portions were just right! We loved it!“

“First time here for this local resident! I've driven past this intersection for decades and have no idea when this business popped up. Great location, parking, outdoor seating (kid and dog friendly), and a solid, healthy menu. I had the vegetarian burrito with tofu, and scarfed it down before remembering to take a picture. That's how good it was. A trickier proposition when it's raining, but that's also when the flies leave the area.“

“We went here for some good poke and it was mostly great. My husband got the spicy ahi and salmon shoyu which were both delightful! I ordered the California ahi and was surprised to find giants chunks of imitation crab meat in it. I do not care for this at all so I picked it all out. I wish there had been descriptions under the options. I did ask about the spice level but I assumed that the different names were related to the sauce. Next time I will ask more questions.“

“So it’s like this… Kua ‘Aina Sandwich Shop has got to be the best burger for the job if you’re hungry amidst shopping for all the great gift ideas!! Bacon burger with all the fixings and also with the green chili Tabasco is mayjah and it scratches the itch every time. Really good as a medium rare burger. So juicy!! One of my favs!! Kudos!!“

The seating inside is a little limited, so there can be a wait, but it’s always 100% worth it. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they do their best to get you seated quickly. “This is my go-to spot after I get my hair cut at nearby Major League barber shop. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I've had the pollo asada and the chorizo & egg tacos, both with rice and beans. 🤤 This is a Veteran/family owned business that takes their food creations and customer relations seriously. It is also SoCal Mex based flavor-wise and takes me back to the neighborhood taco shops in L.A. and San Diego. I look forward to eventually trying everything on the menu.“

“Today was the first time my family and I have visited this restaurant. With such great reviews I had to come check it out for myself. I was craving Chinese food and found this place on google. When we got there we were greeted by the kind owner and his employee. We got there a bit late but were happy that they still had manapuas,rice cakes and bentos. We most definitely be back because the hospitality was great and we really appreciated how welcoming they are. Thank you for the delicious food especially the tasty fried coconut mochi balls😋☺️.“

“Stopped for an early lunch on a Thursday. Very fortunate that there was parking, because after we pulled in the two other spots filled up instantly. Not to knock the service at this location, but I believe future orders will be take-out. Besides, when you eat at home you can just let the food coma knock you out, as opposed to fighting it on the drive home from the restaurant.

We started with the guacamole and chips. It seemed a little unusual that it was served in a take out bowl, but upon reflection this makes perfect sense. We didn't finish it, and it easily packed up to go with us. Also, it was a nice chunky style that we liked very much.

I ordered the 3 carne asada (steak) street tacos. Awesome.

My wife ordered the carnitas (pork) Barrio burrito. Going to order this the next time.

My mother-in-law and grandmother both had shrimp Barrio burritos. They didn't share.

Everyone raved about the food. Service was top notch, with the waitress stopping by often to check our water, quality of food. When we finished up we also ordered some things to go.

“Fantastic place, be sure to go if in the area. Food was top notch apps to dessert. Service was amazing Maria our server was very sweet but the whole staff works together really well. One issue, they need new chairs. Some of the most uncomfortable ever. Hard wood ladder back like I grew up with but at least they had cushions.“

“This place is absolutely amazing! The food is always top-notch, the workers are always incredibly friendly. The store manager, Jacinda, has even published a coloring book, which kept my daughter entertained while we waited for our hot food. The banana bread is super delicious, and I couldn’t resist adding a scoop of vanilla gelato on the side. It was the perfect combo! This has quickly became my favorite brunch spot. “Large and delicious, but on the pricey side. Just be sure to leave a little time before ordering from a Domino's. Remembering the taste of Boston will strongly remind you of how bad Domino's taste (to be fair, Domino's has gluten free, so we did get those when our daughter was living with us.)“

“Loved it here! We almost didn’t eat here bc we wanted to go to the trucks, but decided to give it a shot. It was around 4 on a Friday and not too busy and our server was very nice but not on top of things- our food came out super fast and I had to ask where our drinks were, she had forgotten, but she brought them right out once I asked. Aloha time I suppose, nbd but would have been nice to enjoy my drink before the food arrived. But she was okay after that and very sweet. We just ordered off the happy hour menu and had sliders, pot stickers and garlic shrimp- all very good but the garlic shrimp was AMAZING!!! We were talking about it for two days after! Would highly recommend coming here for happy hour and ordering a garlic shrimp per person- it’s a full meal- our only regret was not ordering two.“
