“To say that the food, service and Atmosphere was 5 stars is and understatement. Our server Michael and his team were just exceptional. This is the epitome of what you expect when you go to Waldorf Astoria.

As a native Newyorker I can tell you that not only did you uphold the Waldorf Astoria reputation but you exceeded it which I thought was hard to do.

Now to the important stuff, the food was absolutely amazing. We started with the Venison Lumpia and Ahi Agua Chile which was as classic as you can ask for. They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel but kept to the classic chili water and then embellished with perfect accompaniments.

My wife had the Scallops which were cooked to perfection. I had the Snapper with each layer there was another surprise, just simply delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes were velvety smooth and perfectly seasoned, just enough salt without being salty.“

“We had dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House yesterday and it was a truly excellent experience.

The steak was outstanding — in my opinion even better than at Nobu. Perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and cooked exactly as ordered. My wife had the Caesar salad and said it was the best Caesar salad she has ever had.

The desserts were absolutely phenomenal, a perfect way to finish the meal.
The service was exceptional — attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly.

We enjoyed it so much that we immediately made another reservation for dinner tomorrow.

“We recently had our wedding at Gannons and it was AMAZING! We were blown away at how beautiful the ceremony site was (Molikini Lookout) as well as the reception site (Lower Lawn). Gannons was great to work with from the start! If you are looking to get married at Gannons we would HIGHLY recommend upgrading your ceremony site to Molokini Lookout, the view was breathtaking and the pictures do not do it justice!! We are so glad we decided to have our ceremony at Molokini Lookout. We were really happy with all the staff (especially the bartender, he was AWESOME!!). We did have a few hiccups with dinner and dessert. The crab cakes (appetizer) were to DIE for and everyone loved the salads. We were disappointed that the fish that was served along with the filet of beef for dinner was very fishy and not edible. The filet however was delicious. The timing of the meals was also disappointing. The salads were served quickly but the dinner course took quite a long time to come out after. We had guests asking where the dinner was. We also had the same issue with dessert, unfortunately. The dessert was not brought out until after last call was made (over an hour after dinner was finished) and less than 15 minutes before the wedding was over! We had decided to add the "chef selection of desserts" for our guests along with serving cake and unfortunately hardly any of our guest were able to enjoy any dessert since it was served so late. So, if you do decide to get married at Gannons (which we still recommend) we would suggest having a detailed timeline for courses and dessert to avoid what happened to us. Overall, we are very happy with our decision to choose Gannons for our wedding day!“

“This has become our favorite place to eat in Maui. We eat here every trip but this time we came back 3 times!! Two favorites, coconut shrimp with sweet potato fries AND the mahi mahi (I now prefer this over Paia Fish Market’s) it was so tender and the sauce served with it is out of this world!! “We visited Coconut’s Fish Cafe at the Azeka Shopping Center on December 4th, 2025 around 6:00 PM, and honestly, we had a really nice time. The place was clean the moment we walked in — tables, floors, everything looked well taken care of. It has a simple, relaxed island vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away.

The service was quick, and the staff kept things moving smoothly even with a steady flow of people coming in. Our food came out faster than we expected, which was great.

We tried the Coconut Shrimp, the Kalua Pork Plate, and the Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi Plate, along with Aloha Maid juice, guava nectar, and a soft drink. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were good, and the flavors were light and easy to enjoy.

Service on the other hand needs work. For a Fairmont restaurant, calling your server to get you plates and silverware after your food had arrived isn’t expected. Cocktails coming after the food arriving. We were celebrating our anniversary which we had informed them about and the host even mentioned it when we got there but there was no acknowledgment from the server. They did nothing special which is unusual.“

They had a couple big parties and our waitress took care of us to make sure we got our order in so we didn't have to wait long. The layout and atmosphere is good for a nice night out.
