“My girlfriend has lived on island for 20 years and has always wanted to try the Canoe House so we took her for her birthday. And it did not disappoint!

Let’s be clear, we’re all here for the view….. and it lives up to the hype.
Its spectacular 🙌 But the real surprise was the food with lots of vegan options

We had 3 vegans and basically ordered every vegan item on the menu. Every dish was delicious (with the exception of the seasonal cabbage entree-which the waiter had removed from our bill-thank you). As vegans we loved so many options. Great job! They also brought some vegan desserts to round out the birthday celebrations.

“Best smoothie bowl I had while in Kauai, but also in Hawaii overall. I got the Gandhi bowl, which was phenomenal. I appreciated that the smoothie is made with oatmilk because it was more creamy, as opposed to the watery smoothie bases I had elsewhere. The toppings were generous and very well curated. They do not skimp! I had macadamia nuts in every bite, along with goji berries, papaya, banana, and granola. This place is well worth a stop before or after the Waimea Canyon. I hope I get to visit again someday!“

“First off, I can’t tell you how much I love their Overboard IPA. But I digress. We stopped into the brewhaus for lunch twice, and had incredible meals both times. The brewery is laid back and quaint. In a dream life I’d be a regular there.“

“Good place for dinner after a day exploring Waimea Canyon. We ordered a veggie pizza for take out. The pizza was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed it.
However, we asked to 'substitute' a few toppings but were charged for 'substitutes' as 'extra toppings'. One pizza cost us $45+ tips. So, we paid for the toppings we never had on our pizza too. in this regard, make sure you check before paying.“

“Totally awesome authentic burger place. My only regret was not ordering another burger. My sister had the Surf Burger and I had the Hi-Heat. On the drive back to our hotel, we just randomly kept saying what a great burger those were. Honestly surprised we didn’t turn around and go back for more.“

“Amazing chicken broth ramen with fresh noodles and super fresh sushi. I love the variety of the menu - ramen, sushi, yakitori, katsu and evern a curry, (the grilled butterfish is another favorite of ours). Reservations are required as the place is small but very popular. The staff is super friendly and recognizes us each time we visit. Always a must at least once, if not twice each trip as the prices are super reasonable.“

“My husband and I stayed several days for his 50th birthday. Surprise to us at check-in they had upgraded our room to an oceanfront room.., completely complimentary. It was hands down the best experience we have ever had. From the friendly staff, to the amazing meals and all the beautiful views inside and outside the resort. Mahalo! Mauna Lani!“

I love my KonaVille Hot sandwich as a vegetarian. The maiitake mushroom paired with their special sauce and topping in this sandwich is just unbelievably delicious!!

My husband had the Grilled Shrimp Ceviche, which is a great recommendation by our server since he is not that hungry. And our server was right, the special local tomato in this dish made someone like my husband that doesn't like tomatoes chow down the whole thing!

And I'm being super serious-- DO NOT SKIP THE UBE BROWIE SUNDAE! It is mind-blowingly goooodddd!!! First of all, it is not too sweet (from a Chinese person🧏🏻‍♀️). This halo-halo inspired sundae, packed with unique and flavorful topping, plus the infamous Ube brownie, yummmm!!!

We had a very friendly and helpful server who taking care of us! She gave us great recommendations on the menu.

And we were visited by Chef Sotirios Kontos, twice during our meal to introduce himself to us and to answer any questions we might have about our dinner selections.“

“A truly beautiful beach setting for a romantic and delicious meal. We saw a humpback whale breach in the ocean as enjoyed a gorgeous Hawaiian sunset. The Ube rolls were delicious. Both my husband and I ordered the Ti Leaf Wrapped Kanpachi (Amberjack) and it was one of the best fish we've ever had. The presentation was so creative and the fish was cooked perfectly along with prawn, bok choy and purple sweet potato with a side of coconut cream sauce and salad. Such a memorable experience!“
