“There's literally a Starbucks store not a block down Middle Road from this one. I know it's pretty much a hackneyed and tired observation at this point, but I still feel compelled to make it. At any rate, I happened to be doing some shopping within the HyVee that contains this Starbucks and decided to stop here for a tea and pastry. Never done this before, but felt compelled to do so today. This place has a weird look. The accent lighting fixtures in most Starbucks are present across the trellis that surrounds this location, but they do nothing to add to the functionality or overall appearance of the location, as uncovered 4 ft florescent light fixtures provide the same harsh white light common to this and most other Hy Vee locations. It's kind of a bummer - I wish Hy Vee would fix this.I got an Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade and an Iced Lemon Loaf. No issues with either - they were of the quality expected of any other Starbucks. I enjoyed both while sitting at one of the two tables adjacent to the kiosk while looking at this location's particularly strange painting that I swear every Starbucks has to have their own version of.In summary, the food and drink of this Starbucks was standard fare, but the grocery store ambiance took away something from the experience. I think if Hy Vee fixed their lighting around the Starbucks, this would be better. Don't know how they'd do that - maybe add a separate drop ceiling around the area to make it a little darker? Anyway, thanks Starbucks!Vegetarian options: Plenty of coffee, tea, and pastry will satisfy the meatless consumers among us.Kid-friendliness: None of the employees seemed anti-child. Specific to their seating, there aren't child seats.Parking: There's a large parking lot available outside the Hy Vee that can also be used by those wanting to partake in this Starbucks.Wheelchair accessibility: There's no real wheelchair seating right at this Starbucks. If needed, however, you could probably go to the Hy Vee dining area close by to find something suitable.“

“I've been coming to this Starbucks for several months. They are consistently great in customer service and the environment of the coffee shop is great for studying. This is definitely the best Starbucks in the area and the best I've been to so far.“

“I'm starting to like the vibe of Starbucks. Between the soft unrecognizable Indie music, the solid baked goods and tea, and the general laid back atmosphere I've experienced between the locations in the Quad Cities, I like them more than I used to. It was, in fact what I needed after work today, so I headed to this location off of Middle Road near the old Duck Creek Mall area. This Starbucks has many of the trappings present in other Starbucks, including part of the walls being covered in wood paneling, plenty of windows, and a painting portraying something east Asian, like a coffee plantation or tea field (I'm not entirely sure...). The floors are composed of modern looking dark ceramic tile, while the ceiling plenum is exposed, allowing full view of the HVAC ductwork, conduits, and wood beam supports. Strips of accent lights are suspended above the dining area.By contrast the area behind the counter has either drop ceiling or drywall, with a mix of recessed and accent lighting throughout. There's a dull blue/grey backsplash composed of hexagonal ceramic bits and some wood molding. There was an interesting contrast between the brighter lighting in the prep area and the lower, softer lighting on the dining space. Overall, I liked it.Not much really to say about my drink and pastry - I got an iced peach green tea lemonade and some vanilla bean scones. Both were of comparable quality to those on offer at other Starbucks. The service was similarly good - the barista who took my order was nice, as was the person who gave it to me.All in all, I like the space and would return if not for it being out of my normal work and home areas. It's a good Starbucks - fast service, acceptable drink and food quality, and a relaxing space with comfy chairs and other seating. Thanks Starbucks!Vegetarian options: Coffee and tea are vegetarian, as are many of the baked goods.Kid-friendliness: There's a high chair available for use. None of the staff seemed anti-child, though I didn't see any children in the space while I visited.Parking: There is plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to this locationWheelchair accessibility: There are tables that are specifically marked for wheelchair use.“
