“they were at the late night at the zoo and barely an hour into the event they started crossing off items on the menu due to not being prepared for the size of crowd. The guy at the window seemed like he could careless to be there. I also understand that its a larger event but having to wait 20+ mins for simple loaded fries is ridiculous. After 25 mins i ended up getting a refund. Im not usually one to leave bad reviews, but felt this one was needed.“

“Great food and atmosphere but needs work on handling large crowds for events. Tonight my fiance and I had a wild experience lol. Arrived knowing we would wait, was quoted 30 min to 1 hour. Agreed and took a seat at the bar for drinks, table was available within the 30 min time frame which was great. Was seated and didn’t see a server for 35 minutes, we expected a wait and wasn’t too bothered at this point over it. Once the server came over to us he said he thought we were being taken care of already since I had a drink from the bar. We brushed it off and placed our drinks and food order at that time. My food came out within 5 minutes and we were pretty stunned with how quick that came considering how packed it was. Now, after 10 min of him not getting his order and we also didn’t have our drinks we looked around to find someone to ask. I called out to the server and the manager several times, but didn’t succeed in grabbing their attention and fiance didn’t want me to get up and find someone. 40 minutes after my food arrived the server came up to us and I asked about his food and our drinks. I said well just take our bill and a to go box for mine. He did bring out my fiancés order and removed it from the bill. We understand it’s not entirely the servers fault but overall we were pretty bummed since we do enjoy this spot for the atmosphere and the food has always been good. A few other tables also were saying they had similar experiences tonight and also just wanted their bills as well.“

“We had our rehearsal dinner at Jams Old Market in downtown Omaha. We were able to rent the Loft 204 upstairs for our event. My husband and I loved the venue from the very beginning! The exposed brick walls, the privacy for our event, and the ability to see where we got engaged were all big aspects we were looking for! The bartender was amazing. The food was even better! It truly felt like a dream come true from the moment we walked through the door. Jams was accommodating for our littles and provide our family with a delicious meal the night before our wedding day. “Great little spot inside the Holland Center. The food was very tasty (I had their version of Eggs Benedict, and tasted my hubby’s cheddar broccoli soup. Both delicious.) There was one oopsie with our order, but it was handled VERY professionally. Service was attentive. I’m just sorry that we took so long to try Zinc; we’ve been attending events at the Holland since it opened. We’ll be back!“

“Today was our 4th trip to Culvers. The meal we had was delicious. They have the softest pretzels and hot cheese I have ever had. I was really disappointed though with the raspberry malt. it looked like a chocolate malt instead of a raspberry one. I took a swallow and got a big mouth full of malt flavor. topped off with big chunks of raspberry. it might have been good if it was one of the cement drinks. I called back and told the worker what had happened, he said bring it back and we'll make a new one. Thank you for your kindness sir. I would definitely recommend Culvers to anyone“

The presentation of each plate is like a piece of art. The chef and team’s food is some of the most mouthwatering, flavorful food you will ever eat!! Definitely a hidden gem in downtown Omaha. “Our first trip to Gather couldn’t have gone better. The host, Steve was super accommodating in seating us. I appreciated the table farther away from the majority of the business as it was quieter and more intimate. Our waitress, Cathleen was extremely helpful and super friendly, even giving our oldest daughter individualized attention without being annoying like a lot of servers are when we are trying to enjoy a night out as a family. The brussel sprouts were fantastic. I don’t know if I’ll ever eat them without cranberries again; who would have known. They added such a pop of brightness to the dish. My wife had the pad Thai and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Wagyu flat iron with Chimichurri, and where so many restaurants fail, they succeeded in having a well-balanced sauce that wasn’t overly acidic and provided a welcomed heat to the dish. Loved the elote corn which was kept warm the entire meal having been served in its own skillet. We also ordered the Mac and cheese which was very good, and even the chicken strips we ordered for our daughter was a shelf above any other restaurant. My daughter loved the donut holes and the birthday cake they prepared, although simple, was surprisingly delicious. They even do the simple things well! By far, the best dessert was the Strawberry-Basil sorbet; such a fresh and delightful way to end the meal. One of the things that stuck out to me most was the attention we got from the manager, Tony. Most of the time you see managers walking around, it feels like they are just “doing their job,” but this guy was bringing food out to customers, checking in with tables, assisting in any way he could, and genuinely looked liked he loved being there. He checked on a few questions we had about the food and he also gave special attention to our daughter which definitely elevated her experience. The service, food, atmosphere and getting to see their Hydroponic garden make this a must visit! Will definitely be back.“

“We went before a 6:30 Sunday evening Orpheum performance. Our reservation was for 5:00--we were able to enjoy a casual dinner experience and make it to the show with time to spare. (I think we left the restaurant around 6:00ish...did not feel rushed at any point of the evening, though the restaurant did seem busier when we left than when we arrived, so I'd recommend reservations and not cutting it too close if you are dining before a show.) We were seated right away when we arrived. Our server, Cassie, took our drink orders right away and continued to provide prompt and personable service through our dining experience. Our appetizers were DELICIOUS--we had the hummus and pretzel sticks. Ordered 4 main dishes (soup/grilled cheese, chicken sandwich, and 2 pasta dishes). One dish did come out a bit after the others but wasn't more than a minute or two behind. Overall, it was a very positive experience, the show menu provided enough variety for our dining needs that included 2 vegetarians, and the location was perfect for our other evening activities. We will be coming back before/after future Orpheum performances!“

She asked if we were going to a show nearby to ensure our dining experience would be done in time! Food was great. I got the tortellini pesto but subbed for homemade noodles. I added salmon and it was great! Lacked a bit of flavor for me, but not complaining.“

“We were on our way back to Denver and deciding whether to just stop at McDonalds or try something local. Searched best breakfast near me and Louie's showed up. We were not disappointed. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by THE Louie, then pretty sure his son. We had two young ladies assist us that could not have been friendlier if they tried. We really enjoy places with character and charm, and this place is literally covered in it with historical posters, photos, and signs that are reminiscent of when neither them nor the place was considered historical. It is clear the diner has been very well cared for. The age is apparent, but it is very clean and comfortable. The food is simple in concept (diner food), but well executed in flavor. We had the Italian omelet, biscuits and gravy, SpongeBob French Toast, and kids egg and toast. I was intrigued by the Texas Chili omelet and will be trying that at home but know I won't make it as good as it likely is at Louie's. When I got the check, I was shocked it didnt cost more. The other places I eye-balled definitely would have. This was such a comfortable place, and we did not regret our choice.“

“Came into town for the Omaha Zoo and looked up places with karaoke and Kikkers popped up! Darts boards, Touchtunes (before karaoke), pool tables and cheap drinks and slot machines! What more do you need? Definitely will be back! Oh and we had the chicken tenders and house made chips and both were SO good!“

“This was pretty much what we expected for a lunch at the zoo. Typical options like cheeseburger, hot dog, etc. We enjoyed the fries a lot but the hot dog wasn’t great.

We came here mainly because of how it overlooks the monkeys. To our disappointment the monkeys weren’t even in the enclosure right by the restaurant so you couldn’t even see anything.“

“Awesome Experience! At first I wasn’t impressed. My server seemed to be really off, she fumbled her words, had a hard time answering my questions, (maybe she was nervous) etc. I ordered a martini but she brought me something terrible in a rocks glass! We ordered, the salad bar was amazing!!! Fresh and had several choices. Our meal was another story, our waitress got our order wrong. I wanted chicken parmigiana and I got a sandwich?! She did get it corrected but I had to wait longer. At the end of our meal the manager trish came over to offer apologies. She also brought me the martini I originally asked for that she said she made herself. Awesome!! It was delicious!! She was friendly, chatted with us for a moment and deliver our bill. She didn’t even charge me for the drink! We noticed her guiding our server who was then having issues at another table. I would say we won’t be back but Trish really helped turned our opinion around! She’s definitely a manager who cares! We will give it another try and hopefully just get a more proficient server!“
