“We cooked a BBQ contest that Dirty Ernies Sponsored. We visited their bar on multiple occasions during the day. Locals Frequent the establishment and visitors felt at home with the regular patrons. We felt welcome. Drinks are good and the bartenders are friendly and have great service“

“The coffee, food, and service were impeccable. Talked with the owner for just a bit and she definitely made you feel like you were welcomed. This is now Rosie's coffee house, it has moved from Locals across the street. It's in an old bank and very nice.“

“Don't judge a book by its cover! While the exterior condition of the building wasn't promising, it concealed a very comfortable and modern bar&grill that definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was very good. It's definitely better than expected for typical bar food. Great burgers made any way you could prefer, and I will be returning to try their pizzas and other sandwiches next time I'm nearby.“

“Americana at its best. This is the definition of a classic dive bar. I was with 3 others guys and we all loved our food; 3 of us had burgers, perfectly cooked with great toppings, the fourth had the Philly, and he said it couldn’t have been any better. This was a hot Iowa summer day, and the temperature outside was almost as hot as the bartenders. Oh yeahhh!“

“Thirteen Golfers gave 45 minutes notice for 3:00 pm arrival. The Table was set. The buffet was loaded. The variety drew 13 Golfers to take part. Not normal buffet. This was Home Cooked style. Amy & Russ & Chef tipped the Apple Cart!!!!! Extremely Well Done !!!!“

“What a wonderful throwback restaurant. It takes you back to supper clubs of the 50's and 60's. Great salad bar with lots of variety. They even had home-made cinnamon rolls and brownies. Our server (Laura-Laurie) was fantastic. My wife and I had the prime rib (excellent!). My sister had the filet mignon and her husband had the ribs. We were all very pleased with the entire experience!“
