“We heard that Double Dipped had good ice cream, so we stopped by to try it for ourselves, and it lived up to the good recommendation! There were over a dozen flavors available, so we first tried a few samples. We then ordered two flavors each (one pairing in a dish, the other in a waffle cone). There are several tables if you're dining in. There are also various smoked meats, honey products, and other locally-made food and gift items in the shop.“

“We love 36th Street Tavern and everyone we have come in contact with there. We even consider it a bit of home away from home! We go every Thursday to play music bingo (for free) and this is such a nice tavern to just go and hang out. Getting out of the house is always a plus, too! We are always greeted by the waitresses, even if they cannot get to our table immediately. Thank you Jamie and Natalie! Sorry if spelling is wrong. If our glasses ever run empty we have a new one poured, if not by our waitress, by Al who is always making sure our glasses are NOT empty! :) Or, if our food baskets are empty they come and take them away within a timely manner. “A favorite spot we like to go to on our drive down to NE. Food is always great and coffee is fantastic!! Owner and staff are warm and welcoming. Location is prime with gas station for an all in one road trip stop.“

“Planned to dine in, so had to pay for street parking. Scone dry and not very tasty. Got an extra item we didn't order, so someone else was missing their item. Didn't realize this until too late, so couldn't return. Were able to meet up with party expected and carry on a conversation without disruption.“

I typically go there around noon for my lunch break and about half of the time the impossible breakfast sandwiches are already out. I don’t eat meat so that leaves me with very few options. “I love this place. Great everything. An awesome meeting place or to just sit & take a break. In a hurry the drive thru is quick & friendly. They treat you like family.

“We were so thankful to have Chocolaterie Stam Ames at our graduation party. The chocolate fountain was absolutely amazing and a big hit with our guests! Chocolaterie Stam Ames came to our home and not only setup the fountain but maintained it during the party. Such a lovely couple to work with. Thank you for making our graduation delicious and fun! I cannot say enough good things about the fountain and their wonderful chocolates as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone!“

“I love playing the Bingo games or other like games Starbucks sponsors. So when I needed to go to three separate Starbucks locations, where do I go in Ames? But then I remembered the one in Target! It worked!! The Barista was sweet as the other locations, and I got the stars that I needed when I placed my order. Yay!“

“I have lived in Ames for two years and this is the best place to get my Starbucks coffee. There are quite a few other locations, but this one is the best. The girls that work that are friendly and they make my specialty coffee perfectly each day.“

“My coffee maker died at home so I ran out before 545a--in my pj's--to order an office sized carry-out box of coffee. The service was impeccable!!! They offered to bring the coffee to my car (so I wouldn't make a fool of myself traipsing around under dressed) and even brought me a sample as I waited! THIS is the epitome of customer service! “A really good idea for a restaurant! A whole bunch of really good dishes that would slap on a drunk night out. I had the tomato, basil, and mozzarella dish. It was basically pasta. My partner had the barbecue brisket Mac and cheese, which was to die for! They also had a ton of different long Island ice tea flavors that were great! I had the Tokyo tea, which was awesome! My partner had the Nerds tea, and that was really sweet. It's not my flavor, but it's still good. Good prices and a good atmosphere! Right in campus town, so it's a perfect location for college students.“

“Delicious donuts. Their hours need better consistency. Often I go to order on the app (which I really like their app) but says they're not accepting orders at various times, usually between 9 & 10 a.m. I love biting into their freshly made maple iced...it's my favorite! They are very respectful when I order plain donuts for my diabetic husband, they even put his order in a box by themselves...very thoughtful. This place is delicious. They just need better, more consistent hours.

“Honestly pretty good for what it is (counter serve chain cafe / bakery). Ate in, and service was quick + polite, donuts and sandwich were good. They have a wide variety of donuts.My only gripe is with the pricing. Almost $7 for a breakfast sandwich (that was partially burned ☹️) seems high. Overall good for a chain of this size.“
