“I have stopped by twice don’t usually get coffee places. Very friendly staff just had brewed coffee and it was excellent. On my second visit I had brewed coffee and a waffle maple sandwich and it was very good. Will stop again and try some of their food or a muffin.“

“Went in looking for some whole bean coffee for my new coffee grinder and the barista was very friendly in suggesting a bag of coffee for me to try. Ordered a cappuccino while I was there which tasted great. Overall a great place and definitely recommend it to people looking for local coffee and espresso.“

“Love the coffee here! They make it pretty strong so be prepared for that extra kick of caffeine, that aside I've never had a bad coffee from them. There isn't a large selection of food items but I've liked the soup of the day when I have had it. The coffee shop itself is cute and usually it's a pretty quiet place to get work done. It can get really packed on weekends in the morning and tables fill up quickly so maybe plan on taking your coffee to go if you visit Saturday or Sunday morning.“

“There isn't an Atmosphere since it's just a drive thru lol! Love the Peach Smoothie ? I order it double blended to make sure there isn't any ice chunks in the bottom! Ordered food a few times...muffins are good. The rest is just ok in a pinch.“
“Cute place! Has more sophistication in its boba tea offerings than I have ever seen! The food is also pretty good. I'm a fan of the curry fried rice. It's a little cramped in there but they can't do much about that. The patio looks nice so maybe a good lunch spot for summertime.“

“I travel around the entire USA and find a shop in each city, sometimes 2 , and Burgie's is my recommendation for coffee in this area. I love a good coffee so I don't drink corporate poison like Starbucks or Dutch bros. This is a solid local shop that I recommend. I got the iced honey latte with light ice, and enjoyed it“

“Overall the time spent there was nice, but two groups were served before us even though we arrived first and we had to call for the worker’s attention after being left for 15 mins waiting. We got left by our initial waiter while they put in orders for a group of 6 and group of 3 that were neighboring us. After we hailed another waiter we finally put our order in and got our 2 dishes after 50 mins of waiting. The food was really bright and delicious and they had really good music taste. After we switched waiters it was great, but being forgotten damped our mood a bit…“
“Such a charming and decadent little shop! All their sweets are amazing and we love that they also offer a nice variety of tea served in beautiful pots and cups. The entire staff and owners are so welcoming and kind whenever we visit. Definitely the highlight of our day when we get the chance to stop by! ❤️“
“I love this place. Great everything. An awesome meeting place or to just sit & take a break. In a hurry the drive thru is quick & friendly. They treat you like family.Dietary restrictions: Various options to chose from.Parking: Parking is at least easy to get. The service is quick so I'm not waiting for a spot to park for long.Kid-friendliness: Has more than coffee. Juice benders are a great treat for children. They have board games inside.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps. Inside or outside. Double doors“
“Gayle, Scott, Dad, and I had just experienced a forgettable meal experience at the nearby HyVee Cafe. Instead of heading straight home, Scott suggested that we drive past our former Ames house and then stop for a drink at Mother's Pub, which was known as Dugan's Deli when he attended ISU. We had a nice time, as we ordered our drinks, took them to the patio outside, and let Scott reminisce about his college days. And even though I graduated as a Hawkeye, I could tell my own Ames stories, like the time Bob Merrill and I stormed onto the old Clyde Williams Field with others to cheer the ISU football team during coin toss. As ISU is not in session, Mother's Pub was a bit quiet, like we were almost the only ones there. I wouldn't mind coming back to hear some live music and hanging out with family again.“
“I'm in there every work day and have been since the late 1940's it feels like. Every single day I receive amazing service. They know you by name, and treat you amazingly well. I cannot say enough about Rhi, Maren, Sam, and the rest. It's the best way to start my day: caffeine and customer service.“

“What an awesome spot. A great environment in there, tasty coffee, good snacks and the nicest employees. Always big smiles when I’m in there. Definitely a good hang out for people in Ames and worth pulling off 35 if you’re just passing through.“

“Delicious donuts. Their hours need better consistency. Often I go to order on the app (which I really like their app) but says they're not accepting orders at various times, usually between 9 & 10 a.m. I love biting into their freshly made maple iced...it's my favorite! They are very respectful when I order plain donuts for my diabetic husband, they even put his order in a box by themselves...very thoughtful. This place is delicious. They just need better, more consistent hours.Dietary restrictions: As I mentioned, they are respectful of a diabetic who wants a donut but needs just a plain donut.“

“We heard that Double Dipped had good ice cream, so we stopped by to try it for ourselves, and it lived up to the good recommendation! There were over a dozen flavors available, so we first tried a few samples. We then ordered two flavors each (one pairing in a dish, the other in a waffle cone). There are several tables if you're dining in. There are also various smoked meats, honey products, and other locally-made food and gift items in the shop.“
