“Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! While in Ankeny today, we wanted to try something new. We went completely blind with our choice as it just happened to be near by. WOW!!! It seriously now is our favorite Mexican restaurant! We were greeted right away, and noticed when walking to our table how clean the restaurant is and impressed with the open kitchen! “Husband and I are from Wisconsin and researched long and hard on where to have dinner. We wanted good food in an area we've never visited before. Cancun Grill and Catina did NOT disappoint at all! Both, food and service was friendly and wonderful!!! Best Mexican restaurant I've eaten anywhere too. The restaurants where I'm from does not compare to this restaurant one bit! We came back a 2nd time to eat here and recorded ourselves eating, lols! It was soooo good it made me feel like I'm in HEAVEN with every single bite! I highly recommend this place.“

“Food is always delicious! I went in after work on Mother’s Day to take home 3 orders of shrimp fajitas and the patio and tables inside were packed. Despite staff being very busy, I still got my order in 15 min and one of the teens working at the register checked on me while I waited to see if I needed anything. I’ve always had excellent service. The margaritas are delicious as well!“

“Whatever cheese they use is absolutely amazing. That's one of the key factors to making a great tacowhether it's chicken, beef, or steak. Also, the tortillas they sell are amazing and go fantastic with their signature salsa, but that's the tacos, as for the burritos, I was not that big of a fan(i have not tried the nacho or enchiladas). The great thing about this place is that a lot of the food is really easy to grab, go, and eat, and it is indeed tasty. This is a weird situation where the burritos are cheaper and actually less filling than the tacos. I was not a fan of the sour cream coming in packets, instead of them being able to put it on the tacos themselves or just give me a side of what would seem like fresh sour cream. The service isn't bad, but it's not over the top, great either. The food does come out fairly fast, and they keep things simple, so you don't have too much to complain about. I really like the taco shop because it's not too pricey, it's simple (so good for children), and as it says in the name, it's tasty!

“The food at Monterrey tastes good, and the service is certainly decent enough. The restaurant, like many chain Mexican restaurants, goes a bit over the top with 'decorations' that are just a little too stereotyped.

I got the chicken fajita this evening, and while good, the amount of chicken in the mix was a bit low. I understand that it's the most expensive part of the meal, but there are several other Mexican places in town that have fajitas for the same price, or even cheaper, and that regularly give notably more chicken than they did.

Overall, while tasty, I felt the food was a bit expensive given how little meat was actually in the fajita mix.“

“I came by yesterday on lunch break from a local training. I had intended on eating there but as it got closer to my hour being up, I knew I’d need to take it with me. There was only one person working and there were a handful of tables so I understood. They quickly boxed it up. I did have chips and salsa while I waited and it was really good! The salsa was super fresh! I ordered the Elote and two of the chorizo street tacos. They were both phenomenal. They even came with two small cups of the sauce for the tacos. One was a verde and the other was a smokey, much spicier sauce but they both were super good! I will definitely be going back and bringing my kiddos as they love Mexican food as much as I do!“

I considered the shredded chicken in the tacos to be very good. One person was into the chili relleno but not the beef enchilada. Pollo loco was the most enjoyed meal of the group. Portions are large. The service was on top of it.“

“I live in Grimes but always drive over to this Panchero's location because it is night and day better than the Grimes location. It doesn't matter how long the line is, or how many online orders they also have to make, they are always fast and accurate. I'm constantly impressed by the quality of the food at this location and the service. I usually place online orders to go and have never had an issue with my order. I rarely write reviews but the Johnston Panchero's deserves it.“

From the exquisite food to the captivating decor, including stunning mural art, every detail contributes to an amazing atmosphere. The lively music invites you to dance, while their flavorful margaritas are anything but watered down—unlike many other places. The food and service were exceptional, and I was particularly impressed by the presentation of the churro and ice cream that my friend requested, even though it wasn’t on the menu. It was remarkable. You really need to experience it for yourself. Everything about the place was beautiful, from the clean bathrooms to the incredible theme that permeates every corner, even down to the to-go cups. Blue Agave is not only awesome but also incredibly fun. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience and highly recommend that you visit.
