“My wife and I just moved to Star from Orange County, CA. We've been exploring local eateries. Today, we came here, based on Google reviews.
It is a food truck/trailer located off Main Street in the NW corner of the Star Merc parking lot. The woman that owns/runs it is most likely originally from Mexico. There is an umbrella and picnic table out in front of it, but you will most likely want to do take out.
Their specialty seems to be their tacos. They are street taco size, so I would recommend three to be satisfied. They use double tortillas, and offer pollo, asada, carnitas, and Chicharrón (for $.50 more). At $2 a taco, I think it's a good deal.
Unfortunately, when we arrived around 3:30, they were out of carnitas, which is my wife's favorite. Apparently, they had a rush on them today (note to self: come early). So we had a combination of the other three. The meat could have been seasoned a little more, but they were definitely tasty.
We will definitely be back. As former lifelong Southern Californians, we love good Mexican food. Here at Tacos Colima, we think we've found it.“

“Manager was upbeat with his employees and his guests. He was very knowledgeable and helpful when making it choices regarding the menu items. he also was generous in his serving sizes as well as when we only had a 20 to pay with our meal was seven dollars more he made it so it was just $20 so we didn’t have to be embarrassed. He also hooked us up with a free Large drink to leave a review and so it made us feel valued, but also more willing to leave a good review because the overall experience was fantastic. The previous customer was asking for bizarre items and made us wait super long in the line and the manager was aware of this and made our experience so much better.“

“So I was out of the area for a conference. I went to a few local breweries, and one of them had this taco stand place. I am from Orange County California and we have a lot of taco places, but this place was awesome! Not just the food, but even few local breweries, and one of them had this taco stand place. Not just the food, but even the couple people that were working making tacos, etc. Started talking to one guy. His name was Carlos and he actually is the one that started this business and makes all the food sauce is everything homemade. Coming from California where a lot of stuff is just premade you open a can this was awesome and so is the beard. Thank you Carlos for taking care of me and my friend, your tacos are awesome. Thank you heading back to California tomorrow.“

“Wonderful service, great food! We tried for the first time last week and were very pleased! The food was delicious, our server was very nice and took great care of us and even gave us a free dessert since it was our first visit. We will definitely go back again! Highly recommend!“

“Chapalas Restaurant, has the best Mexican Cuisine in town, Maria is the most kindest person you could ever meet. There food is so Authentic, and Delishes, and the Drinks are amazing. The atmosphere is so culture. The servers are very nice, and helpful. It is always clean in there and there is always a hostess to great you!! And the music is the best, I recommend you, try this amazing restaurant, you will be so satisfied in every aspect..... Viva Chapala I rate it at a 10÷“

“A bit loud and we were seated in a little booth with 5 people, so not ideal for elbow room, but the food is fantastic. Highly recommend the Fiesta Platter- carne asada, chicken, and shrimp with beans and rice. Prices are reasonable. My vegetarian teenager had the Huevos Rancheros and said it was his favorite dish he's ever ordered at a Mexican restaurant which is a HUGE compliment from my budding food critic. We'll be back!“

“Definitely a 5 star. Probably a 9.2 out of 10. I started with 2 Adobada, 2 Carnitas and 2 Chorizo, finished those and had to go and order 2 more, Cabeza and Adobada. They're all so good. Tortillas are good and all the meat was fantastic. Red and green salsa was fine, not amazing but very standard and complimentary to the delicious tacos. One table with an umbrella or front, parking at the shop or behind the truck. Fast and well priced ($2.50 a piece). The only downside is it's right off Garrity which makes the street noise a bit much to really Talk and conduct business. But for a quick to-go meal, this is fantastic.“

“We walked in and were instantly greeted by warm smiles and a comfortable atmosphere. We were seated quickly, with a comical movie style quickness we had our drinks, and a heaping basket of chips and salsa placed in front of us. “This Taco Time building was surprisingly nice, and the outdoor seating area is lovely, especially for a fast food restaurant. The staff were lovely during my visit, and I have always thought the food is better than Taco Bell or other similar places. Also, very affordable.“

“We used Walking Sombrero food truck for an event 4/22/23 and everyone really enjoyed the food. It was fresh and delicious! Very kind staff and really easy to work with. Great communication with the owner getting our event serviced. I highly recommend the food truck for your next event! Great variety of food options for adults and kids. Nice choices of meats too!“

“Melissa took great care of my father and I. My dad loves hispanic cuisine, me not so much. My father had the Burrito Especial and I had their Cantina Burger, that is one of the best burgers I've had in years. Between the excellent service and outstanding food, I'd highly recommend a visit to one of Cafe' Ole's 2 locations.“
