Incredible Fantastic Phenomenal Amazing Spectacular Food! Freddy’s is the Famiglia on Holidays and your Nona’s and Zia’s all cooking pumping out hot fresh delicious food from all the Kitchens
(typically 2 in most Italian households 1 upstairs and 1 in bashement) lol 😂
Freddy’s is like I went back to 1990’s St.Calistus St.Joseph’s table. Stop in the Food Service and Establishment all live up to its promises. You can not have a bad meal here.

“A Chicagoan recommended I take the pink line to 18th for this best ever pizza. With crunchy thin crust and an unexpectedly large serving size, it was piping hot and topped with tons of cheese and a generous amounts of sausage and hot honey. Mmmmm!

The horchata was the creamiest ever. The service was kind and helpful and the playlist was straight out of my neighborhood in the 90s. Made for a wonderful meal with lots of memories. “We recently had dinner at Coalfire on Grand Ave. in West Town and really enjoyed their coal oven baked pizza. We dined early on a weekend evening so no problem with grabbing a table on a walk in basis. Opening hours are Indoor environs were urban modern with tables spaced nicely. Opening hours are 4pm to 10pm (Tue-Thurs) and noon to 10.30pm (Fri-Sun), closed on Mondays. Service was very friendly. Menu features a few salads as well as a list of pizzas. They also do a build your pizza custom order if preferred. We ordered the Jalapeno Pepperoni which was nicely baked thin crust with a good amount of char. Savoury tomato sauces, cheese, pepperoni and jalapeno were all good quality and tasty. This was a really good pizza, one we'd gladly return to reorder. Would also be happy to try other pizzas on the Coalfire menu.“

“First time at Pizza Amici I was blown away, super cool vibe inside, Pizza is the best tavern I’ve had anywhere, chopped salad was incredible, but the SERVICE there is above and beyond. I was taking my new puppy to the store to get some toys. Decided to pick up a carrot order, I messed up the time it was going to be available and showed up 45 minutes before it was scheduled to be ready. Having my puppy with me I could not sit at the bar and have a few drinks while I waited so had to wait in my car and the host not only was able to get my order expedited on a busy evening but literally hand delivered it to me in my car. I felt like an absolute dufus and they couldn’t have been more kind and courteous. I cannot wait to go back.“

“An outstanding experience at Parlor this evening! This was the first truly gorgeous day in Chicago so Parlor was very busy (as expected). We were seated for our reservation right away and our waiter made sure to get our order in for happy hour as soon as possible. Although service was a little slower due to the volume of customers, our waiter was very kind and apologetic, checking on us constantly and bringing us free drinks. I would say Parlor has the best value during happy hour - $6/$7 select drinks, $6 select apps, and buy one get one pizzas - unbeatable.“

“These guys have been on my list for a while and it was worth the wait. THIS IS PIZZA. Bridgeport phils still has my heart but this place just bumped into the 2/3 spot for me. TOP 3 Chicago pizzeria.

Crust: this is what did it for me. The crust was a perfect thickness and kept its structure/ crisp throughout the whole pizza

Sauce: they’re cooking down their own sauce I believe. It’s got a touch of that fresh tomato sweetness. Nothing over powering, just a great classic sauce

Sausage/cheese: high quality Battaglia products. Traditional cheese blend and good sausage. Nothing crazy in this category but definitely brings their pizza together

“Beggars Pizza is a great spot just a stone's throw from Union Station. I appreciated being able to get deep-dish pizza by the slice, as I usually can't eat more than one or two slices. While I'm no expert on Chicago deep-dish, it seemed to be right up there with others I've tried. The workers there were so friendly, a much better place to relax while waiting for my train. Price-wise felt it was very fare $8 and some change for a decent slice and drink. Will be back during my next stop-through.“
