The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the environment was top-notch. The restaurant's interior was beautifully decorated—it felt like I was transported to Mexico!There are two locations in Chicago, so be sure to visit the one on 55th street if you want to dine in; the 18th street location is for takeout only. This was my first visit, and I'm already looking forward to returning! Just a heads up, both locations offer street parking, so plan accordingly, especially on weekends.“

“When I first moved out here from the city, I was so sad that I couldn’t find good Lengua tacos and finally we got some good lengua tacos out here!!My husband is very picky with his asada and he devoured his burrito. The texture presentation, not messy or sloppy just a perfect well cooked burrito. Tacos El Diablo is our new taco spot for sure!“

“I’m a recent transplant from NC and sent my husband here because we are in the middle of moving and the last thing I wanted to do was cook. This food was AMAZING! I had the fish, Mac and cheese, collards, stuffing. The best fried fish I HAVE EVER HAD. It tasted home-made. Everything was fresh and good and I’d have taken a picture but I was too busy stuffing my face! My husband said the lady behind the counter was super sweet and offered suggestions and he (who does not eat fish!) ate half my fish!! The portions are HUGE for the price and I will be returning. Tomorrow probably.“

“Hidden gem! Tacos are full of incidents and full of flavor. Al pastor are side by side with the Al pastor from atotonilco. Asada tacos are delicious as well. Only thing I wish they would do is not chop up the asada into so small pieces. Other than that, visit this place and enjoy the great tacos! I wish I could give half stars because it definitely deserves 4 1/2 stars out of 5!“

“This is my neighborhood go to taco spot. The food is affordable and good. If you are unsure what to get, just get the 3 taco meal for 9 dollars. It comes with a pop and fries. I normally get a steak taco, chorizo taco, and chicken taco.Parking: The lot is small but there’s always spots.“

Just put down 7 mixed and I figure to be hitting this place 2x a week The food is outstanding! And they take credit cards unlike the Chicago Ave location!. “Lived in Texas before moving to Chicago, these guys have the best Mexican food I have tried in the city. Not only are their tacos, burritos, and tortas (of all meats) authentic, but their red and green salsa are the best I've had in Chicago. The red salsa is actually spicy and the green salsa is actually creamy. The food comes fast enough and they are always playing really good music, they deserve your money. I'd rather come here than go to Pilsen.“

“Excellent food, genuinely quite cheap, expect to spend around d 10 to 15 per person typically, there is rarely a massive queue, sometimes it's 4 or 5 cars deep, which will probably take the the best part of 15 minutes to get through, if you are the only one there, it's probably about a 5 minutes from start to finish, perhaps a little less.“

“We ended up at this place by chance with 6 of us, ranging from teens to a grandma. All of us loved it. The tacos were really delicious. Grandma felt that the guacamole was too salty so the owner came out and apologized, made her a fresh batch to her liking AND removed it from the bill. Both food and service were top notch.
