“Ordered carry-out from the Vernon Hills location and loved it! Fantastic quality ramen, flavorful broth and still hot after getting it home. Miso Ramen and Taiwan Ramen are fantastic, but beware that single pepper icon, because it’s no joke! (And I say this as someone who grew up eating spicy food 🙂) Delicious, but intense! I would LOVE to see a milder version of the Taiwan Ramen (or at least a way to adjust the heat, like the Spicy Miso), because the flavor was truly amazing and addictive.“

“Sunshine in a bowl! Had the Jimmy Creation Bowl with white rice, no substitutions. This place doesn't skimp on toppings and fish like other poke places. While you're there get a Lychee Fruit tea with jelly. If you're wondering if winter is a good time for poke bowls, it sure is! If you want something warm, the Tonkotsu Ramen is delicious and comforting. Very reasonably priced and super nice staff too.“

“LOVE IT! I felt like a was in Japan! Beautiful atmosphere and amazing Ramen and broth.

I sat at the bar because I was alone, and was mesmerized by seeing how they make the ramen.
There is a honeycomb style table and seats but also on the opposite side of that there are some private dining area with some curtains. I was told one of those areas is for 6-8 people max.“

“I came to this place for brunch, I’m on business and thought I’d try it. Loved the Soicy Miso Ramen and the Chicken Nanban. Plus their latte was delicious. I think it’s called the Strawberry ice Matcha latte or something similar. There was no wait, staff was friendly and very attentive. Definitely worth checking the place out.“

“Santouka Ramen inside Mitsuwa is genuinely the best ramen I’ve ever had. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful, the noodles are excellent, and everything comes together in a way that makes it hard to order ramen anywhere else without comparing it to this place.
What really sold me was that my girlfriend has actually been to Japan, and even she said Santouka was comparable to the ramen she had there. That says a lot.
It’s one of the main reasons I love coming to Mitsuwa in the first place. The quality is consistently excellent, the portions are satisfying, and every bowl feels like something you actually remember afterward.

“Hands down one of the best Tonkatsu Bentos around. The pork cutlet was crispy, golden, and incredibly juicy. Sankyu Sushi & Izakaya does an amazing job honoring traditional Japanese flavors while delivering consistent quality. A five-star experience every time.“

“We stopped by today for dinner. My picky eight year old loved the miso soup so much we ordered four bowls to go. The tempura udon was delicious. The chicken katsu curry was delicious. The gyoza was so good we ordered two servings. The salmon was fresh and serving size generous. The fried chicken also so so good. Prices are very reasonable. We will be regulars for sure: sorry owners! 😬“
