First time I’ve had actual seasoned fries from a BWW! So yummy! Was nice to have a good experience here after the bad one at the nearest wingstop!“

“My previous review was accidentally deleted by me, but let me just say that this is by far the best bar around the Chicagoland area. Firstly, let me start by raving about Colleen, the GOAT of bartenders! She is an absolute sweetheart! From the first day she made me feel at home! If you are new, she goes up to you, introduces herself and hands you a napkin. She has the most awesome and proper etiquette for the hospitality industry. Colleen is an absolute godsend! I do not know a single person who badmouths her. She also makes the best margaritas and rums/cokes! She remembers your name as wel and starts calling you by your name on the second day. The other bartenders are amazing as well. On Tuesdays and Thursdays when I go in, Lisa remembers my drink and food order. She is also a gem as well! As far as the food goes, the chicken bacon ranch wrap is one of the best I have ever eaten. The Cheddar Cheese burger is amazing as well. Seriously this place is a great find. As far as the reviews calling this place racist are concerned, to each their own: I have never had any issues and I am disabled and asian that is like a double negative. It is the most inclusive place around town!“

“Very Good Dinner tonight. We had Brisket dinner over mashed, dark chicken thighs with mashed and garlic shrimp over pasta. All meals were quite good. Ample portions. “I went bowling with one of my nephews who inadvertently left his credit card on the table. I wanted to bowl the following evening and when I showed up Renee recognized me and told me she had a surprise for me. She then went into the back room and came back with my nephew‘s credit card. I imagine it could be difficult to remember exactly who was Bowling on that lane last Yet she remembered and put the credit card on the side as she figured I’d be returning at some point during the week. “Went to Bird’s Nest for a birthday celebration and it easily exceeded expectations. I’ve been on a bit of a wing tour lately, trying spots all over, and somehow each place keeps raising the bar. Bird’s Nest keeps that streak alive.

The wings are done exactly how you want them. Fried to a perfect crisp on the outside, while still staying juicy and tender inside. Not just “good for a wing,” but genuinely well-balanced in texture. They’re done in a way where you could eat them plain and still be satisfied, which says a lot.

Then come the sauces. I tried their Bird’s Nest hot sauce along with the hot BBQ, and both delivered. The hot sauce brings that classic heat you expect, but the hot BBQ was the surprise standout. It had a deeper, slightly sweet kick that made every bite better than the last. I usually lean buffalo, but this time the hot BBQ took it.

What really stood out is how consistent every bite felt. No drop-off, no dry pieces, just quality all the way through. It’s the kind of plate where you look down and realize you finished it faster than expected.

I don’t throw this around lightly, but these are some of the best wings you’ll find in the Chicago area, and honestly, they hold their own anywhere. Having tried wings across about 20 states, including spots in Buffalo, I’d put Bird’s Nest right in that conversation.

The overall vibe makes it even better. It’s a great place to catch a game, relax, and spend time with friends without it feeling forced or overdone. Definitely the kind of spot you find yourself coming back to regularly.

“I grew up in the northwest suburbs and spent many nights at Durty Nelly's before moving away for about 20 years. I'm happy to see that the spirit of the place is still alive and well at Durty Nellie’s, just steps from the Palatine Metra station.

Two staff members who really stood out were Jessie and Austin. Jessie was welcoming from the moment I arrived, made sure I knew about the specials, and created a great first impression.

Austin has the presence of someone who is helping shape the future of the business, professional, engaged, and visible around downtown Palatine.

The combination of friendly staff, strong drink and food specials, live entertainment, and a convenient location right off the train makes it easy to recommend.

If you're looking for a classic Irish pub atmosphere in the northwest suburbs, it's worth stopping in and checking out.“

“We have live in the area for a while now and always meaning to stop in.
Saturday (5/30) my wife and I and another couple finally made it, just for drinks as we were coming for dinner.
Atmosphere and the crowd was great, everyone friendly and very welcoming.
The best part was the prices, each one of us had 3-5 drinks and the bill came to only $35, this has to be the most reasonably priced bar in the area, and we weren’t drinking draft beer, mixed drinks and the ladies had some wine.
Fantastic place, we will be back!“
