“We are visiting from Indiana and my husband, myself and our toddler had a wonderful experience! Our food was great and came very quickly. Our pomegranate margaritas were delicious. My husband ordered a side of bacon to go with his salad and the kitchen took the extra step to cut it up for him when they didn't have to. And while the restaurant is an upscale mature environment, they were extremely accommodating to our toddler and were so very friendly and warm to our family. From the hosts, to our waiter, to each employee who passed by everyone was so warm and welcoming. We will 100% return!“

We were warmly welcomed on our Anniversary for dinner and had the most amazing experience! Our waiter Carlos was superb and made sure every aspect of our meal was perfection!
We had a preset menu with some of the best of those items we have ever experienced! The dinner rolls were light and dangerously delicious, the lobster bisque was the best lobster anything we've ever had, the wedge salad had the most amazing dressing (and I don't even like blue cheese!), the steaks were cooked beautifully, and our dessert put us over the edge!
The servings were generous, nobody could eat it all...wish we could've taken home leftovers.
A perfect spot for a special celebration....we loved every moment!“

I started going there when the owner became a client of the company I was working for in the mid-90s, setting up cash registers in the restaurant he opened for his nephew. I no longer live in Chicago, but make it a point to stop there and speak with the owner every chance I get. Always great food and exceptional service! You may have to wait in line, though. Understandably, it's a very popular place!“

“I went for a friends graduation brunch, and it was definitely a hopping spot in the city, and I can see the appeal for the rooftop views alone, but I think it’s a bit overpriced for what you’re getting in my opinion. I had the biscuits and gravy ($25) which was fine but also strange in that it tasted more like a chowder than gravy. I also got the chocolate chip cookies which were and came in an order of 3 for $12. As I said, a bit overpriced for cookies, but actually felt worth it for their size and deliciousness. Of course, part of why you’re coming here is for the views and this place did not disappoint! Despite it being a very hot day outside, there was a good crowd out there especially because there’s a bar on the patio as well. And even though it was very busy throughout the entire time there, my party and I had fairly consistent service, although I did have my drink order forgotten, but the server ended up comping me for it, which made up for it.“

“Stopped in for dinner and beers with colleagues. Then sat in the bar area. We started with burrata and side dishes. Both were very delicious. I loved the pita bread and hummus on the appetizer plate. I will definitely get it again. Round two, we had fried chicken, croquettes and pizza. The chicken is super delicious. It was fried very well and the sweet sauce was great. I liked the pizza, although it was closer to flatbread because the crust was very flat and thin. Nice beer list. The cocktail list could be more impressive. Service is very friendly and attentive. Five stars!“

I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. “This is possibly the most amazing place I think I’ve ever eaten. I had the mushroom omelette with a Greek bread toasted.
The servings are extremely large. Someone back there really knows how to make an omelette. It is so fluffy.
Now if you think that can’t get any better the topper is they offer ice cream with your breakfast for dessert .
I was here on the marathon weekend this Sunday so it was extremely chaotic and they just really handled it so well .

Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. The atmosphere and vibe of both rooms was everything that we could hope for. The staff was incredible, the food/drinks were AMAZING, and our guests had nothing but positive feedback. “I love the upscale sports bar atmosphere and the food put me in a place where I continously wanted to be there. Me and the wife had the wings, tuna and the lamb chops and all were on point. The lamb chops were definitely some of the best I've had in Chicago and I would even go as far as saying that Lyra definitely has some competition with the chops.“

The service was mostly attentive, which made for a pleasant visit. However, when it came to the food, I was disappointed. I ordered the Southern Catfish Combo, expecting a hearty meal, but what I received didn’t match the advertised portion. Instead of two full pieces of catfish, it was just one filet cut in half, which felt misleading. Unfortunately, my experience was further dampened by an interaction with one of the waiters. While handing us our takeout boxes, he went out of his way to avoid any contact with our hands, which felt uncomfortably intentional. Moments like this can leave a lasting impression, and it was disappointing to experience such behavior in an otherwise well-regarded establishment. Overall, while the ambiance was great, the food and certain aspects of the service left much to be desired. I hope to give them another try in the future under better circumstances.“
