The food menu is delightful and offers enough choice. The starters are shareable and the bread is fantastic. Personal I had the American Wagyu and mushrooms - classic and outstanding.
Great beverage and the wine list.

“I am from Los Angeles and went to visit family around the corner from Don's. This diner took me back to a time when the food was hearty, well priced, and to die for. I love me some chili from Don's with cheese and onions, all the breakfasts they have, and the cheeseburgers with fries. The patrons were more than happy to make room for our huge party of 9, and the service is just as good. The cooks and servers dishing up great stories and great food. I wish I had a Don's around the corner from my home that I could walk to, any time of the day or night.“

“The 25 minute walk in the bitter cold was totally worth it. This is one of the best burgers I've ever had. I found it looking for smash burgers but I wouldn't call this a smash burger per se as you don't get those crispy flattened-out edges. What you do get is a perfectly balanced classic diner style burger but somehow elevated. I recommend ordering it as-is. They've put some thought into how the elements (high quality beef, pickles, 'tamed' jalepenos, secret sauce) work together and it was all I could do not to order a second one.“

“It's been a long time since I've been able to get a Maxwell polish and first time at this location was a little surprised they used frozen french fries instead of fresh cut fries but they were crispy and hot and the Polish still taste as I remembered. But it seems they're not as long as they don't stick out beyond the buns like they have in the past and at $7.50 per polish dog seems a little high added in with the shrink as you can see in the picture that I put along with this post. But I still love Maxwell polish.“

“Me and my friend are visiting Chicago for a Pokémon go event and got super hungry after our long walk around town. We stopped by and were instantly welcomed by Jonathan . He was so kind and recommended us some top tier choices. I ordered the cowboy and my friend got the patty melt. One of the best burgers and fries we’ve had in a while !!!! We devoured those bad boys instantly! Before leaving Jonathan came over to say goodbye. For all the warm hospitality we left him a little gift . Definitely will be coming back again when we are back in the area. Definitely made our final night here an awesome one :)“

The service is warm, efficient, and always welcoming. The chicken skewers are outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked just right every time. They are flavorful without being heavy, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. The Greek salad is equally impressive. Crisp vegetables, generous feta, balanced dressing, and always fresh. It is simple, but done exceptionally well. When a restaurant can deliver this level of quality consistently multiple times a week, that says everything. We highly recommend it.“
