“I guess the name says it. The esthetic is made to look older. We had a huge party of 20 and they did the best they could with us. Obviously, it was a wait for things but that was to be expected. Nate and Kelsey took good care of us. It was typical pub food, nothing unique, but filled us up.“

“What an outstanding Restaurant! I had my daughter's bridal shower at Mio Modo and Michael, the Manager, took care of every detail that I was looking for. The food was excellent, from the appetizer-Calamari to the main meal-Pollo al Limone and Vodka Pasta, to the dessert Tiramisu!! So delicious!! The staff was very attentive and professional. “Limited menu done right. Portions are small but prepared with care. Always consistent. Shy away from the calamari friti. I’ve had it a few times and hoped it would get better . Barely any shrimp the “ piece. Contained are small and few as is the actual squid. Loaded with veggies instead. Not a value or good choice! The twin medallions of beef are delicious but not substantial. The white fish is the best dish on the mine!“

“Every time we come here is a great experience. The food is amazing, service is friendly, and the atmosphere is great for a date night or a night out with friends. The owner always makes it a point to come out and greet all the customers, truly just a warm and inviting experience. The food is homemade and fresh, and it does not taste or feel like so many corporate chain restaurants. I recently had the Panini Con Salccicia sandwich and it was to die for! “Had this wonderful BBQ delivered to work today. It is so yummy! The meat was fall apart in your mouth, full of flavor goodness! The beans were so tasty. The brisket had the perfect flavor and texture, the ribs were very meaty and flavorful as well! I cannot rate service or atmosphere but I know I will be getting this food again with my family. “Ambiance was a “wow” when we arrived. With only 10 tables, upholstered chairs, linens it was more like a living room. Service couldn't have been better provided by Renee who has been at Atwater 23 years. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful without being overbearing. Every part of our dinners were spectacular. Two of us had pork and agreed it's one of the best meals we've had.“

“i’ve always driven by this place and thought, “i should go try them out.” well tonight i did! my boyfriend and i dined in and it was a pleasant surprise. the place is clean, everyone is friendly, the food is good and the service is great! i’ve never had such attentive and polite service in a restaurant before. our waitress was SO thoughtful! the ambiance was great- soft, subtle music, good lighting, i felt like i could be comfy there in my workout gear or fancy stuff if i wanted! it’s a very comfortable place. i loved the sweet and sour shrimp and the fresh spring rolls! prices are fair and the bathroom is much better than places i spent 3x the money at. support this local restaurant. they’re doing it right. thank you to everyone who took care of us tonight.“

“We went to Woodfire for my birthday. The food and service is excellent. Vicki was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. The food is so fresh and homemade. The pizza crust is crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. There is an assortment of types of pizza, but the cheese pizza is the best I’ve ever had. The pasta is rich and delicious. It’s cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce is amazing. The appetizers, home brewed beer, and desserts are phenomenal too. Step aside Coopers Hawk, I have a new favorite restaurant!“

“What a great place. Ok so their beers are very unique. My wife and I both really enjoy this spot. Their menu is very extensive. See image. Also their hazy IPAs are amazing. Worth trying. They also change their beers quite often but they consistently have a great taste. So recommending a specific beer isn't really helpful but a style of beer I definitely recommend trying their IPAs and Hazy IPAs.

“Had a great dining experience! Our server, Kelsey, was great. Our first time going to a restaurant with our little one. He has egg and peanut allergies and Kelsey went above and beyond to ensure the food we ordered didn’t have these allergens. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious. I ordered the corned beef. Fries were good and they have a nice selection of beer. Thank you Kelsey for making our first time eating out a great experience!“

“Service was awful! Our server, Joselyn, slammed down the glasses of water 5 minutes after we were seated, took our order and never saw her again until she slammed the bill down at our table. We saw her for a total of 3 minutes in the 45 minutes we were there. Unfortunately for Joselyn, her tip reflected her poor service. I tip 20-25% for good service, she lost out and made the restaurant less desirable to return. However, the burger was juicy and delicious, the macaroni and cheese was outstanding!“

“Food is delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and chill. The staff is wonderfully friendly and accommodating. We were there with my 7 and 10 year old for dinner. My son has special needs and they were so great with him. At the end of the dinner when they could see I was struggling a bit with my son, one server came to me and said, “don’t worry mama, we got you.” So kind. Thank you Stockholms for being an amazing place. Highly recommend. Highly highly recommend.“

The staff was friendly and I didnt wait very long for my drink and food even though it was quite busy. My only complaint is there is only one area with comfy seating. I came here specifically because I saw there was a couch and armchairs on google and they were all occupied by a group of students. I am new to illinois and was looking for a new coffeehouse to stay and read at for an extended amount of time and was disappointed I had to sit at a table. I didnt stay anywhere near as long as I normally would have at my shop back home- that place had multiple couches and chairs.

In response to the owner: you can directly control how you furnish the place. My old coffee shop was mostly couches and armchairs. I was disappointed to find this shop only has one comfy corner. The chances of ever finding it open are basically non existent. I would absolutely go back for to go food and coffee but I wouldn't plan to stay a while.“
