“The pot roast sandwich was incredible - juicy, tender, delicious. It tasted to me like the meat was smoked before it was braised? I’ve never had pot roast this good before.

The place was about half empty while we were there and was quiet enough for comfortable conversation. There’s sports memorabilia all around, so a good Chicago vibe.

Our server seemed to have a lot of tables, or maybe she lost track of time doing closing work, because it took a very long time to get the check.“

“Limited menu done right. Portions are small but prepared with care. Always consistent. Shy away from the calamari friti. I’ve had it a few times and hoped it would get better . Barely any shrimp the “ piece. Contained are small and few as is the actual squid. Loaded with veggies instead. Not a value or good choice! The twin medallions of beef are delicious but not substantial. The white fish is the best dish on the mine!“

“we had a wonderful dinner last night! my husband is British and my actor sons were in town from LA filming a movie in Downers Grove, so we decided to give Balmoral a try. And what a wonderful family dinner we had. The menu not only describes the food, there were historical stories added which made it even more charming. From the bone china, the murals and of course the food-- it was perfect. we will be back!“

“What an outstanding Restaurant! I had my daughter's bridal shower at Mio Modo and Michael, the Manager, took care of every detail that I was looking for. The food was excellent, from the appetizer-Calamari to the main meal-Pollo al Limone and Vodka Pasta, to the dessert Tiramisu!! So delicious!! The staff was very attentive and professional. “Riverlands just keeps getting better every time I visit! The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They’re always happy to help you find the perfect beer or seltzer, whether you know exactly what you want or just want to try something new.
The selection is fantastic, with a great variety of beers and seltzers that truly offer something for everyone. Sours are my absolute favorite. Plus, I'm always excited for their rotating Tiki Time drinks during the summer!
The food trucks are always delicious and add a fun, fresh element when onsite.
The outdoor (and pet-friendly) patio is yet another highlight. It’s clear they continue to invest in making the space even better each year. It’s such a great spot to relax, hang out with friends, and enjoy a drink (or two).
Riverlands is easily my favorite local spot. Highly recommend giving this place a try and hopefully it'll become your new favorite, too!“

“We went to Woodfire for my birthday. The food and service is excellent. Vicki was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. The food is so fresh and homemade. The pizza crust is crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. There is an assortment of types of pizza, but the cheese pizza is the best I’ve ever had. The pasta is rich and delicious. It’s cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce is amazing. The appetizers, home brewed beer, and desserts are phenomenal too. Step aside Coopers Hawk, I have a new favorite restaurant!“

“Loved everything about our visit to Penrose Brewing. The beer selection was fantastic, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyable to chat with.

“We come here fairly often, for the best burgers (our opinion) in the Fox Valley. And if you like onion rings, I recommend trying the onion strings as a side but ask for them fried just a bit more.
Now yesterday we stopped in on a whim - middle of the afternoon on a Sunday! And I decided I was not going to get my usual go-to burger or catfish.
I now have a new problem because I have a new favorite item from Geneva Ale House! The Ribeye Steak Sandwich is absolutely fantastic! Everything about it was phenomenal and I have not stopped thinking about it, seriously!“
