That said, we did have to wait a bit to be seated, and the restaurant was really busy, so the service felt a bit slow and scattered at times. It’s understandable given how packed they were, but it did impact the overall experience slightly. Still, if you're not in a rush and want a tasty meal, it's worth a visit.”

“I want to give a huge shoutout to Kyle, manager at Quatro’s for his excellent customer service! He went above and beyond rectifying a couple of mishaps that I experienced with Q’s. My family have been ordering their pizza for years and I didn’t really want to start going somewhere else due to some problems with ordering etc, but kyle immediately called me (without me asking him to) and offered up a solution. Kudos to him especially when a lot of other restaurants would have just shrugged it off. Than u!!!”

“My first visit. Here staying with family close by and they recommend I come try the burger shack. Rowan was here to welcome me in. Invited me to look at the full menu. She was pleasant and offered some suggestions. The food was great. The recommendation she made was delicious. Chicken bacon ranch fries. So good. Family was happy and so am I! I'll be back for the cheese steak.”

There has been three separate occasions where I was short on cash or thought I had enough to pay for what I wanted. As a college student I always felt embarrassed when I go out only to find out after the fact that I had no way of payment. Like today, I had gone in with the intention to buy my family some cookies and myself some cupcakes, once I had reached the counter I thought to finally check my account, I didn't have enough. The lady that was cashing me out only charged me few things, not like I had lots of sweets, but that made me appreciate the things they do more than I did before.”

“Fantastic steaks! My husband said it was the best Ribeye he’s had in a very long time. Visited on a weekend stay to Carbondale. We arrived around 7:30pm on Saturday and thankfully there was no wait. Comfy booths with high backs. Excellent staff, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend the Root Vegetable Hash, never heard of it but oh so good.”

“This is one of my favorites!! The atmosphere is filled with nostalgia of celebrities that have passed through. The staff is friendly and always remember my face when I visit. (Hey Trina!!) The food is always cooked to order and delicious. I've never had to send anything back or complain. Definitely a place to try.”

Figured since we stopped in we may as well have a drink while we thought about what we wanted to eat. We ended up having a great time, played some pool, and had conversations with other folks there. Well lit place and the music was good.”

The best part though were the margaritas...3 sizes with different flavors to choose from, served in chilled glasses. Tried the regular and the peach. Both very good. If we're ever back in town, we will seriously consider coming back here as we always prefer local establishments over any chain, any day.”

“Besides being the cleanest business in Southern Illinois, it has, by far, the best team. I had a very large order recently on a Friday. If you don’t know, every Friday is like Black Friday at Smoothie King because they discount the 32 oz. So, they are always busy. They managed my large order while pushing out a constant drive thru line at the same time. The humans working there are smarter than the computers which is always a plus. Excellent product. Fabulous staff. I’m a born again Smoothie Queen because of Carbondale Smoothie King.”

“I just had the most horrible Sonic experience of my life! I used the app to order like I usually do and my food is always ready within a few minutes after my assigned time. Today is my daughter's birthday and I had some people wanting food from Sonic and some people wanting food from another place. I picked up the other food first because I knew I could order on the Sonic app and it would be ready when I got there. I sure was wrong... I checked in at 4:30 for an order that was supposed to be ready at 4:35. I push the button a couple of times to ask about my order and they told me it was on its way. Finally at 5:10 I was fed up. I pushed the button again to ask about my order and they acted like they wanted me to order all over again and then they just shut the mic off on me??? A few minutes later part of my order came out but not all of it... then they went back and got the rest. unfortunately the other food I got was cold and the sandwich I got from Sonic was cold as well. Don't think I'll be going back there again for a long time if ever... thanks for ruining my daughter's birthday...”
