“So the food was ammmaaazzzinnng! I’m talking best chipotle I’ve had and I’ve been eating chipotle for yearsss! Taste, temperature and freshness all on point. Employees don’t seem like they can manage a rush well since the line was half way down the block but they do try to and are friendly. The atmosphere is ok. Not the worst. Needs a little more cleaning and is kind of a tight space .“

“This Chipotle location is outstanding—easily one of the best I’ve visited. I’ll drive out of my way to visit this location. I’ve visited at many different times of day but the food never disappoints.
On top of that, the portions here are more generous than most other Chipotles I’ve been to.
My only feedback is that a lot of the tables were not cleaned. This was not a particularly busy period either. We had to wipe down our own table in order to dine in.“
“I stopped by this location while in the area for work at Northwestern University, and it was a decent lunch experience. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, which made the visit quick and convenient. Service was decent—friendly enough and efficient. My meal was fresh, hot, and prepared just the way I ordered it.

“My roommate comes here several times a week so it must be doing something right. I've been in a couple times and it seems like a normal Chipotle to me, idk where all the 1-stars are coming from. If you're in the area and want Chipotle, this is defintely one of them.“

“I got a steak bowl with rice & guacamole. About 50% of the meat was all fat. Flavor wasn't really present. I had to keep spitting chunks of fat every other bite. It was my 1st time trying out a Chipotle, probably my last. Especially for the price on the portions.“

“Been to this Chipotle many times. Service is nice and enjoy the staff. The only thing I have sometimes is with the chef who is cooking. The rice is sometimes filled with way too much lemon/lime flavor and it’s very strong. I’m okay with a bit of flavor but that is way too much“
“I feel like most Chipotles try to give you less food but this chipotle is the opposite. They give awesome portions that I believe God intended. Highly recommend, also the chips and food quality is generally higher than other Chipotles I've been to.“
“Sour cream everywhere! I got to this Chipotle and it was absolutely packed; line through both doors. The service was quick though, and I got my Chicken Al Pastor bowl pretty quickly. The only problem was this man absolutely drowned me in sour cream! The bowl was still good, and the chicken al pastor was saucy with a nice adobo flavor. Is it better than regular chicken? Maybe. I think I paid $11 for the bowl. I give it a 4 star review, although it would be funny to contribute to the “downfall” of Chipotle ?“
“Honestly, all the times I’ve been here everyone’s nice and they give me the portions I want because I asked nicely. Overall great chipotle no idea who the manager so everyone there when I go they give good customer service. “Fast, clean and accommodating, this Chipotle outlet is one of the better in Chicago. Only disappointing aspect is the parking and access to leaving the lot. The parking lot can fill up quickly and you have to walk almost a block to get from the Open spaces to the restaurant. Upon exit, you can only turn right onto Ogden. Other than that, there were no problems with my experience.“

“Bruh. This is the most heavy handed location I have ever been to. No wonder they have the best rating vs other locations in the area.My husband usually only gets rice, beans, and meat. And nothing else. And other locations are super skimpy when it comes to dishing out food. It's not like he's asking for more meat. Just a full serving of rice and beans.Anyways, this location gives you a full scoop and then some. They definitely leave me feeling like I got my money's worth. I appreciate that. Also got a side of chips and they weren't stale! ?? Although our bag was mostly tiny broken pieces. My only ask is they fix the coke. “Customer service literally 10/10 so understanding when I had trouble with a mobile order Xochi made everything right and went above and beyond for me and my husband when we were at a loss.

“I never have had a problem with this chipotle as it's the one nearest to me i have been at various times of the day. Always quick, efficient, no rude staff, will let you know wait times for certain food items, clean and friendly, get my orders right. I have even been 10 minutes to closing and received great service. The ONLY problem is the High-school near by, this leads to a very packed place and messy atmosphere from 2-4. In that time frame yes i see how issues could arise, but it is NOT staff's fault if its treated like a lunch cafeteria to loiter with friends.“

“I wish I had a picture of my burrito bowl.. unfortunately I devoured it a whole week before I even thought to do so.. I asked for extra rice and double meat and guess what I got? EXTRA RICE AND DOUBLE MEAT IN EPIC PROPORTION.. it was hot, it was delicious, and it was expensive so I can’t go back til payday.. but I promise I WILL go back..

I visited Chipotle Mexican Grill at 8 E Madison St, Chicago, IL 60602, for dinner, and as always, it lived up to my love for this spot with its reliable goodness.
➡️ What I Ordered:
I went for my usual protein bowl with extra brown rice, grilled chicken, black beans, red chili salsa, cheese, corn, lettuce, and guacamole, costing around $13.00—perfect for a hearty meal.
➡️ Taste & Quality:
The taste was, as always, perfect—the grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful, the red chili salsa added a nice kick, and the guacamole brought that creamy richness I crave. The extra brown rice, black beans, cheese, corn, and lettuce made it a balanced delight. The quality was consistently high, with fresh ingredients that never disappoint.
➡️ Portion vs Price:
The quantity was good, especially with the extra rice, and the $13.00 price felt fair for the taste and portion, making it a solid value for my favorite meal.
➡️ Service & Environment:
The service was good—staff were friendly and efficient, even at night. The place wasn’t too crowded, which was a relief, and the environment was pleasant. The cleanliness was above average overall, but the restrooms weren’t as clean as I’d hoped, which was a minor letdown.
➡️ Final Thoughts:
Chipotle in Chicago remains my all-time favorite for its perfect protein bowl, with great taste and good service. The slightly unclean restrooms were the only hiccup, but I’ll definitely be back for more!“
“I went there with my husband and son. The employees need a reward for being very patient with the customers. I almost left so not to burden them with extra work. There was a long line and they still manage to get everyone’s order ready. Thank you for your time. Also everything looked freshly made from the salsa to the steaming hot rice and beans to warm tortillas and crunchy chips. We always order our food from this location as it’s just around the corner.“

“I'm a loyal consistent customer at this location and you can definitely tell there is a difference in food quality and control as compared to some other locations I've visited. Sometimes there's a wait but the proportions always make up for it. “I’ve been craving Chipotle for months and decided to come here. Workers are so friendly and food is delicious. Don’t know how they did it but the sofritas burrito I had was the best Chipotle burrito I ever had! Portions are great although I ordered in person and have heard mixed reviews about portions when ordering on the app. The only downside is I paid nearly $18 for a burrito and bottle of soda but everything’s expensive now so it’s not just a Chipotle thing“

I haven't been to Chipotle in a long time, but I've heard nothing but complaints about how small the portions have gotten, but that wasn't the case today. This was also my first visit to this location. I've eaten here more than once, and I usually order bowls due to the high carb content of burritos (and I love burritos - I just know the drawbacks to some types of tortillas), but as with most chains with steam table service you'd do well to pick items that look like they've been put in a tray recently. By all means, try the al pastor (if it's still available) or the barbacoa.“

“Who doesn’t love Chipotle? The food is good and they always pile it on which makes it enough for two meals. My only complaint is every time I visit this establishment it’s always dirty. The tables, the floors and even the door has tons of dirty finger prints on it. I’ve sat inside to enjoy my bowl and I did not see one employee stop by to clean up.“

They did it again I was helped out by the general manager and her professional skills was tested today by some but she kept it cool. The food was on point and I ate everything I almost ate the damn bowl that's how amazing it was.
Remember these employees already have to deal with bullshit at times don't go in there with your bullshit to make they day worse. Be respectful get your food and get your ass out of there or just go somewhere else.

“The food was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. However, the music was too intense and too loud. I visited around 1:00 PM on a Wednesday, and the style of music, and its volume, would have been appropriate for a nightclub at 1:00 AM, but not for a weekday lunch at 1:00 PM.“
“The food was good and the staff was friendly. A lady turned around from doing to-go orders and told the guy doing our order to watch his servings. I don't know if she just does that periodically but I'm like you don't even see what he's doing you're over there. Another female employee possibly said something to her,who knows. Parking can be tight and crowded but it's still worth visiting.“

I had the chicken tacos with hard shells. The ingredients were fresh and you get really good portion of each item you want. For example, I got a lot of chicken that I wasn't sure how it would all fit into the shells!“
