never thought about stopping by a potbelly but today me an my lil diva hit the spot... FANTASTIC FOOD WE LOVED IT.. EVERYTHING TASTED SO GREAT...
The staff was friendly and courteous. The food was great. I really enjoyed it. Will return soon.
I am not sure why this restaurant diviates from what corporate does, but the franchise is known for a few things and not just sandwiches. When I don't fee like making homemade chilli, I'll grab me a bowl from Pot Bell'y's, why? Because in the original recipe you taste the green peppers, stewed tomatoes, and you could acually see and taste the minced garlic which gave it a nice flavor. Based on the reviews, the Potbelly on 83rd Holland in inner-city Chicago has a team that provides superb customer service with awesome attitudes and kind demeanors. The workers are great, nice, polite, smiling, and friendly, making customers want to return. However, the music played on the overhead speaker does not make sense for the area. While the art deco on the walls represents rhythm and blues, what sounds like folk, contemporary, or rock & roll is played. Some customers have also been disappointed with orders, as cookies were forgotten, the wrong bread was given, hot peppers were missing, and a dream bar had too much salt. When Potbelly has a BOGO deal, the service gets sloppy, and an avocado turkey sandwich barely gets any avocado. The service is alright for getting lines moving during busy hours, but it is a hit or miss at this location.
