“Finally treated ourselves - not disappointed!! Hubby got the chicken piccante & I had the chicken marsala - both were excellent! The pasta fagioli was so good we got a quart to take home. The service and atmosphere were also great - we will definitely be back!!“

“First time at Spiteful brewing and it was exactly what you might expect from an independent brewery. Good selection of beers, good location and it looks like they have a very nice outdoor seating area out front.
This day was not conducive to outdoor seating, but I imagine this is a great location during the summer months.“

“I’d been meaning to come here and I’m so glad to have finally done so. You know a place has been around a while when they‘ve accumulated so much decor they have to put it on the ceiling. I had 2 good beers here and also tried the Chicago style deviled eggs ($5). A particularly charming feature was the bartender stopping the shot wheel at Malört for each and every person that tried their luck. Get Burger On Tap!!“

“We recently attended an engagement party at Goldie’s. The party was originally scheduled as an outdoor event but was forced to go inside at the last minute. Goldie’s ownership allowed the party to use their location, opened early and provided bar service for all attendees. All with less than 24 hours notice! Claire, the bartender, came in early and was exceptional. Highly recommend for special events or to just stop in for a drink!“

“Where to begin about this hidden gem of an Irish pub located on the southwest side of Chicago? Having recently returned from a trip to Ireland, Scotland in the UK, I am very familiar of what a proper Irish pub is like. I also need to say that I have been all over North America and most of Europe and have been to hundreds if not thousands of bars. The twisted shamrock knocks the ball out of the park on all accounts, atmosphere, service and cleanliness. The drinks are absolutely superb, from a excellent old fashioned to a properly poured black and tan. My wife had a Christmas cocktail which she said was just Divine. The bartender there, shorter guy with a beard is one of the finest bartenders I've ever encountered. His knowledge of sports and cocktails is second to none. A few ladies who are sitting at the end of the bar were saying how he is very easy on the eyes (Don't ask me I don't swing that way 🙂). I wish I would have gotten his name so I could give accolades or accolades are due. The crowd was mixed and lively. From old to Young, everyone was welcome and having a good time.“

“Hands down, the best bar food in the neighborhood! Pretzel-crusted walleye is ridiculous along with the olive-sized steamed mussels. But as good as the food, the bartenders crush it even more. Responsive, accommodating and authentically friendly.“

“Had a great time!! The staff were really kind and the service was great. The food is delicious, pictured is the Garlic Chicken Wings and fries.
As for the karaoke, the mics are definitely better than more expensive places I’ve been to as it can pick up your voice better. Selection is limitless since it’s connected through YouTube!

“Had an absolutely fantastic time at Fado’s in the city for my son’s engagement! The atmosphere was buzzing and the staff worked as a well-oiled machine.
A special shoutout to Clair, who went above and beyond to take care of us. Her service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The drinks were great, but the service made it a truly memorable night. We’ll definitely be back, largely thanks to her! Highly recommend asking for her if you visit.“

“The karaoke on Sunday is a lot of fun! The man who runs it has a lot of music! In the beginning if it is slow he will let people do a few songs in a row. But he is also very fair. So once it’s getting busy he will space it out and get everyone in but I have never been to a place that would allow that. He is a great singer himself so I guess he enjoys taking care of people and allowing them to warm up when it’s slow. That’s cool! And the people who come are damn good singers and nice. There are no divas here but some damn good talent. A rare gem!“

“I gave them 4 stars for the friendly and quick service. I believe I paid 18.00 for 2 shots of some peanut butter tasting shot. Thats a hefty price, which is why i hang out in the burbs. Regardless, fun atmosphere. I would drop by again for a beer or two. Did not eat.“

“Best place to eat in Chicago! I started going there when the owner became a client of the company I was working for in the mid-90s, setting up cash registers in the restaurant he opened for his nephew. I no longer live in Chicago, but make it a point to stop there and speak with the owner every chance I get. Always great food and exceptional service! You may have to wait in line, though. Understandably, it's a very popular place!“

“Classic pub experience that is dog friendly. They allow them inside or in their outdoor beer garden so it's a perfect spot to bring your pup in the cold or rain.
They also have a great local selection of beers. I highly recommend!“

“THE cocktail bar to go to in the neighborhood, especially if you're going to a show at Aragon or The Riv. Doesn't have a kitchen but you can BYO or have something delivered, and they also have a partnership with the deli down the street so you can order some truly delicious sammies at the bar and they'll deliver. Really great cocktail program from Luke who runs the bar, and really great staff that'll help you figure out what'll really wet your whistle. Also has a huge patio open in the summer, and lots of cozy couches and seating in the lobby.“

“Amazing experience! We had the food truck at our sons birthday party! Not only are they delicious but also amazing customer service!!! They were so nice, engaged with everyone, and my son loved the men working and he’s two so he loved doing fist bumps and they even cut his chicken tenders up for me so they would cool faster. I have nothing but nice words for them! We will definitely be using them again at other parties! Thank you again so much! Also great at communicating!“

“The ambiance is first class and I feel out of place to watch early morning soccer there but the staff is very friendly and the chairs are most comfortable. The on tap choices are very good and the food is delicious. Ample tv screens to accommodate your team of choice. I highly recommend this place.“
