“I went for some tamales, they were really good, I also had some sopes, I was really pleased with the flavor of my sopes, they were delicious. I had take out, and the wait for my food was not long it all. The cashier was very nice, she even let me had a taste of their champurrado. I will be back. I recommend this place.“

“Food was very good, margaritas were strong, server was attentive, and restaurant was clean. However, I do want to clarify a few things:

- If you’re white and can’t handle spice very well, this likely isn’t the place for you. This is NOT the Americanized Tex mex food from your local Mexican joint you’re likely used to. It’s a more authentic, spiced up kind of food, though still good.

- if you’re expecting the “liquidy” kind of queso for tortilla chips, you won’t get that here. It’s more of a melted mozzarella/ oaxaqueña cheese that you eat with soft flour tortillas.

- first order of chips and salsa is free, subsequent orders are $2 extra.

“Great experience from the moment you walk on the door. The staff is very welcoming. The bar is a great place to start or even enjoy a meal. The main dinning area is expansive which can add a bit of noise but didn't hold back our conversation.
The food menu is delightful and offers enough choice. The starters are shareable and the bread is fantastic. Personal I had the American Wagyu and mushrooms - classic and outstanding.
Great beverage and the wine list.

“I was introduced to Half Shall about 9 years ago. I must admit hands down the best King Crab Legs I've had in a long time. Let's talk about the Catfish/Jumbo Fried Shrimp. Lord have mercy on me! Very good, very good, very good. The cocktails are not bad either. I've brought family members from the DC location and they absolutely loved the food. I've never encountered a bad waitress or poor customer service. The perfect little GEM in the neighborhood.“

“The food and experience were both amazing. We started off with the Florida Stone crab and Madagascar shrimp. Both were delicious. My boyfriend got the 12 ounce filet and I got the seafood platter (with lobster, scallops, and shrimp). We shared the sides jennie’s mashed potatoes and lobster macaroni and cheese (a lot of lobster in it)! The steak was the best he’s ever had. Both sides were delicious. My lobster and shrimp were the best ever and scallops good too. We ended with banana crème pie and espresso martinis which were also amazing. Servers very attentive. They brought wet rags after each messy appetizer. Great atmosphere and perfect for a romantic date. Best meal ever. Definitely recommend!“

“I have gone to Andros Taverna for many years now where I am never disappointed and always impressed with the service, the quality of food and ingredients, the atmosphere and the passion in general. Chef Doug Psaltis is a true expert and artist performing at the highest levels. The gyros are the best, best gyros in Chicago by far, the seafood world class, the homemade bread and pita are incredible. The foods and meats are cooked over wood fire, wood fire grilled. We had our daughters baptism catered from here which was excellent assortment of Greek food - this is a Greek restaurant you will go to for many years to come.“

“I recently tried Brown Bag Seafood Co. and had a great experience! I ordered the grilled salmon on greens and grains and the grilled shrimp on greens and grains — both were fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.

The staff were very helpful when I had questions, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I’ve done both takeout and dine-in, and both were excellent.

“I went for a friends graduation brunch, and it was definitely a hopping spot in the city, and I can see the appeal for the rooftop views alone, but I think it’s a bit overpriced for what you’re getting in my opinion. I had the biscuits and gravy ($25) which was fine but also strange in that it tasted more like a chowder than gravy. I also got the chocolate chip cookies which were and came in an order of 3 for $12. As I said, a bit overpriced for cookies, but actually felt worth it for their size and deliciousness. Of course, part of why you’re coming here is for the views and this place did not disappoint! Despite it being a very hot day outside, there was a good crowd out there especially because there’s a bar on the patio as well. And even though it was very busy throughout the entire time there, my party and I had fairly consistent service, although I did have my drink order forgotten, but the server ended up comping me for it, which made up for it.“

We were seated very quickly and didn’t have to wait long at all. The food came out fresh and hot, and no joke; everything we tried was extremely delicious. We decided to try a little bit of everything so we could really experience the menu. We ordered the oxtails, Alfredo pasta, lamb chops, fried catfish, rib tips, baked mac & cheese, and candied yams, and every single dish was on point. The flavors were incredible and everything was cooked perfectly. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant was. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which always says a lot about a place. Great food, great service, and a clean environment; you can’t ask for much more than that. Hands down a 10/10 experience.
